I’ve been reblogging a lot of Taron related posts recently. Have y’all noticed he has lost A LOT of weight? Like his face has always been chubby and round, but now it’s not. I’m sure it’s because of the stress and anxiety of Rocketman, he’s mentioned being nervous about it, but poor kid. In the last few interviews of the press tour, he also looks very tired and sleep-deprived. As a result, I’ve been reading a few comments here and there about him “aging” but the kid is 29, that’s hella abnormal so it’s obviously not that. It’s clearly the weight loss and him being tired. He even said he’s gonna “sleep for days” now that it’s over. Not gonna lie, I was a bit worried for him when the press tour started cause I noticed all of this. Hopefully, now that the movie is released and the press tour is over, he can sleep and eat in peace.

So I haven’t seen Rocketman yet but I’m planning to eventually but I just had a quick question for those who have seen it. No spoilers though!

So Borhap was rated P-13 and it didn’t have that much language and hardly showed anything that was sexual really. I mean you could tell it was implied but they didn’t have it.

What does Rocketman have that gives it a R rating?

i feel that another thing rocketman really highlighted was how rare soft male friendships are portrayed in the media!!! i mean elton and bernie’s whole relationship in real life and the movie is so tender and caring and it just shows we should let boys be soft and emotional with each other without judgment and i think this movie shows a really good example!

So was anyone going to tell me that Rocketman is “the first major Hollywood production to show a gay male sex scene on-screen”? Or did I just have to find that out from Wikipedia myself?

since a lot of people argued if it’s the first or second movie besides call me by your name, i think it’s the first hollywood production with a gay sex scene that, a lot of people will see who went not for the sake of depiction of gay characters to the theater but for the sake of a real life person and great music.

and i really hope it will open a lot of eyes when it comes to gay representation and acceptance from the adult population.

and this just makes me hella happy.

Hey so how explicit is the gay stuff in Rocketman.... my mom was like “ take him, he needs to see it because he was in weird denial about Elton’s sexuality” but I don’t want everyone to be uncomfortable

you’ll see rather wild kissing scenes and an explicit sex scene in it. Like you see them unclothing, lie in bed, seeing a butt …

but whatever happens with your dad, it might is about time to talk to him about this. Gay stuff don’t just is about Elton John or depicted in movies, there are people out there who love someone just the way they are, and it doesn’t matter if it’s straight or gay or whatever, love is love.

but i really understand your worries, i have people in my life who are homophobic too and it’s so difficult to open their eyes but they just need to learn that it’s normal.

soooo i wanna discuss something. i read a tweet some days ago but sadly can’t find it anymore. someone was complaining about how unlikeable elton was in the movie and thought it was maybe because of some self hatred left in elton john and him working on the movie. whether i just wanted to hug the s#@t outta elton. so what’s your opinion on this?

I could definitely see that being out of a lingering self-hatred or at least regret; I could also see it to an extent reflecting a desire to tell the real story. I read an interview with Elton where he essentially said that the movie was truthful and there’s no reason to pretend otherwise. And I absolutely DID want to hug the shit out of Elton, because at the end of the day he’s a likable person regardless who’s been through so much.

i absolutely agree with this. Elton is even more likeable for telling his story so truthfully, it is so brave of him. His story, for me at least, never made him unlikeable. If anything, it made me stand in awe of him. Because telling something that is most probably seen in a controversial light but still approaching it for the sake of truthfulness is so courages.

“If Rami can win an Oscar for Bohemian then Taron better win. Yes Rami was good in Bohemian but Taron was amazing in Rocket Man and he SANG all the song.” This is the kind of shit I’m tired of seeing,

1. Don’t belittle someone’s work just to justify someone else’s and why theirs is “so much better”.

Also with the singing there is only ONE person who can sing like Freddie Fucking Mercury and that’s Freddie not even Mark. Yes he is a good Freddie voice impersonator but they still had to mix his voice and Rami’s with Freddie’s singing voice.

2. Rami worked his ass off for Bohemian from watching Frieddie interviews, watching him perform, hearing stories about him from Freddie’s loved ones, taking piano lessons, singing lesson, getting a movement coach to better help Freddie and why he did the things he did and not to mention having to deal with stuff behind d the scenes like a gross disgusting sad excuse for a human director. So saying that shit is just stupid.

And let’s not forget Rami didn’t have Freddie to turn to like Taron had Elton. But you can bet your ass of Freddie was around he would definitely be a fan of Rami’s as Rami is clearly a fan and so respectful of Freddie.

3. Rami and Taron have been classy gentlemen throughout this especially for having the media outlets, fans and journalist clearly trying to pin the these two CLEARLY talented men and movies against each other and both men are saying hahaha you thought !

Again both actors are talented and worked hard and deserve to get acknowledged for their hard work.

So please get your heads out of your asses and take notes from these guys. Thanxs.
