Well Chancho did it again this time down at the Showpark June Jamboree. Winning yet another division champion and bringing home some more money from the classic round today. He jumped 6 double clears all week and feels like he can jump another 6 clear with ease. Someone better buy this horse before I change my mind!

How I miss the days of thermal showing up getting on my horse showing not worrying about the costs, the night checks, the feeding, commuting back and forth to ride more horses, the cleaning, making sure you have time to walk your course because you have to get your horse ready and don't have a golf cart to cart you around from the last barn to the rings... Although my showing is less glamorous than before I am thankful I still get to do what I love even if that means waking up in the middle of the night to check my horse and be back in a few hours to feed. I'm also thankful for the people in this sport who are willing to help when I need it because they are true horse people and care about the sport and not just the money involved. Those people inspire me and give me hope in this industry. As I was hauling my horse home Sunday after the show completely exhausted I couldn't help but smile because no matter how tough it is it is what truly makes me happy.
