Final Major Project...
So it's time to start thinking about my final major project... Inspired by Ken Robinson's talk on TED of how schools kill creativity, I'd like to base it on the idea of the child's imagination, and letting it flourish, possibly the idea of growing up? and what it means to people, either way, this is a starting point..

My second attempt at Gosling for Drive, this is still a work in progress, super happy with how this one's starting to look! Definitely an improvement since the last, I think this image brings across the mysterious kind of vibe Gosling portrays as "driver" in the film. The jackets proving to be real hard to give that kind of "pearl/shiny" look... there's still a lot more to go with this image!! I read in an interview somewhere with Gosling that he liked the idea of driver being his own "superhero" and the scorpion being his symbol... I think this comes across in the image!??
My first attempt of drawing Ryan Gosling from Drive for "Little White Lies", I wanted to go with the bald mask as I thought it'd be a nice play no the film, as you can't really tell it's Gosling, or who the character is, I quickly grew to hate this image as it look's nothing like him, and the face looks like a face rather than a mask..
Three designs which got more attention than others, the design thing is still ongoing, so the tshirts could change alot from here...
To go with the zine and cd etc... I wanted to produce some tshirt designs to later on have some tshirts printed up, I've found a website etc.. where they can be sent to have 25 printed, now I just have to finalise what design we'd like with the other guys and then redraw the design ready for print...
A sneaky peak at some pages within the zine, this will be passed around the GG site as a "coming soon" or "taster", real happy with how it all turned out! The binding is handstitched, the zine is a pamphlet style booklet..
A gif I made of the zine to show the other members how it will look, after producing this one, I feel alot should be taken on board when making the next, I'd like to have a theme for each of our drawings, so every three drawings by each artist will have one, just to help it run a little more smoothly, also should consider making it abit more personal to us, more like an actual "zine" !!

To go with the website I produced a small zine with all of our images to give something to actual feel and have a browse through, always good to be holding someone's work, there's also a cd which will act as a kind of "digital zine" with all producers tracks on it, and a few short films! apologies for the poor quality photos!

Reblogged from the site, I made some moving images to try and spread around tumblr, I wanted to make it legit enough for people to reblog etc... and help spread some love!
For my personal project I wanted to focus on "Generic Greeting", a collective I am a member of! Between us we cover film, illustration, music and photography. I wanted to create a professional looking site to help expand our online presence and give something future clients to look at, where all of our work will be in one place. I wanted to use tumblr as it's a good site for networking and you can give yourself a nice looking site whilst still looking fairly like blog'ish..
Here's a shot of the site, I used an existing theme from tumblr, wiped it clean, created the buttons and played with the html... pretty happy with the outcome!

Angela Carter's puss in boots, close up... so you can see the liiiiines.
A1 sheet filled with cats, this is for Angela Carter's "Puss In Boots" the line .. "for we all had our smile, as it were, painted on..." This is a work in progress, the pen I was using is pretty specialist and I have to wait 25 business days to get a new one sent, not happy it's not finished, so happy with how it's looking though!
Final Image for Angela Carters "The Bloody Chamber", focussed on the keys, and the idea of the red mark which doesn't wash off... fairly happy with how this one came out, looks nice printed properly!!
