Okay I headcanon that Mineta a has a special interest in advanced mathematics like University based mathematics and physics. He joined the mathletes team every year and would come home with trophies. He has a collection of non school related composition book just filled with math problems and mathematical equations he does for fun, he got a book about quantum physics for his birthday and fulltouch™ chalk and double-sided rule and chalkboard for Christmas. His parents don't understand his love for something so niche but they know this will probably get him to a good college so they don't complain.

He eventually started to hide his intestine love for it because some of his team mates started to dislike him for knowing all the questions before them, he constantly corrected his teachers much to their annoyance and it wasn't seen as 'cool' and gave reasons for bullies to pick on him and steal his homework and the friends he did have aren't that interested in the subject. (He also rocks and makes a humming noise when doing math or any work he forced himself to stop when neurotypicals started to stare)

When he's in UA it's practically the same not many seem interested in math so he never brings it up. Except once when Aizawa caught him doing linear algebra in his composition book. He asked him what class this was for I'm only for him to answer back he did it cuz he was bored. It ended up with Mineta giving his teachers a college level lecture of field theory with ended laws of nuclear force

Aizawa tries to keep up with what he's saying but instead he just sits and listening to his student ramble on about an black holes. He quietly watched as Mineta scribbled on his white board pacing and humming as he did. It was a nice change of pace considering he talks about girls most of the time.

I just saw a horrid Mineta take that says that Mineta's goal is to prey on the women he saves. I am appauled on how people terribly misinterpret such a SIMPLE, EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND goal and make it worse than it's supposed to be.

Mineta's goal is simply to be popular and get laid. The thing that holds him back is his own behavior, which keeps him far away from that goal. Stop twisting it. Stop reaching to make it worse. It is not that hard to understand.

MNH is full of actual child abusers (endevor, overhaul) someone who stalks and sexually harasses other kids in canon instead of made up by fandom (toga), an adult that acts sexual around and twoards children (that lady idk u know who), and yet people decide that the most irredeemable and hate worthy character is a teenage boy who makes sexual jokes with his friends (while also not canceling denki who does the same thing!!). Its literally because this fandom is full of fucking creeps who sexualize literal God damn children and hoes mad that Mineta isnt conventionally attractive and their hatered caught on like some weird telephone game as the whole fandom decides to insist mineta is a sexual harasser so much that it just seems true because people say it so much despite zero canon evidence to the extent people will say youre a bad person irl for liking this innocent fucking child and THATS the goddamn tea yall arent ready for.

@schtroumpfalunettes you mean in the scene where he's drowning and grabs onto her not die, and by all framing in the show completely coincidentally touches her boob, and then makes a joke about it after when they're both safe? Yeah, i dont exactly consider that scene to be 'groping'. And people hated him before that, they were just pleased to finally have a decent seeming excuse.

The one scene where he actually does something wrong in my opinion is the peeping bath scene, which still reads more as playing up his horny boy joke persona for the comedy of it in front of his male friends than a genuine attempt to sexualize and dehumanize the girls. I think it was stupid and misguided and still wrong but also an understandable mistake for someone that age who probably doesnt understand how serious that kind of violation is and is under influence by peer pressure to seem cool or entertaining.

And like even if you disagree with this interpretation of those scenes it should be acknowledged that the other interpretation of it being malicious sexual harassment is also just fanon interpretation and NOT explicit canon and so the claims thaf mineta is definitely a bad person and especially furthermore that his fans are bad people irl is absolutely ludicrous.
