"I apologize! I apologize!ā¦" In a frantic manner, the butler began to bow rapid to the woman, guilt going through his mind. How in the world did he mess up like this? He bites back the need to sigh at his actions. Even if he was trained to be a butler, he wasnāt ever truly taught to do the common sense was he? Then again common sense to the man was equivalent of pointing at a gun at a stranger. Keeping his head down he spoke up once more with an apologetic tone, "I truly am sorry for my actions miss!⦠I hope you were not harmed in any manner were you?"
Once realizing threat was not intentional in this scenario, she eventually caught her breath, a hand still placed on her chest for comfort. Well- now she was put in an awkward stance, wasn't she. Her misinterpreting his misinterpretations, somewhat ironical if you asked her. Frankly, she found it a little humorous once the gun was put away and his apologies were spoken. Maybe she might had overreacted a little, but how would one respond to a situation like that? Couldn't be any better than hers, she mused to herself.
"I'm alright, I- I'm just startled is all..."
A skeptical look was then given to the other. What kind of job would you need a gun for? Perhaps he was an officer, or some sort of agent working for a top secret organization- or God knows he could be anything.Ā "Is this your job?"
With floating rocks. / frw event open
Upon closer inspection, the small rocks that were floating before her seemed more clear than a fancy looking rocks. There was a bit of a shine to them, to accentuate their deep blue color. Almost like little crystals in a way, if she can be certain. But still, as beautiful as they were, that wasnāt the astonishing part. She was actually making them float.
Mana couldnāt hide her awe of it all. She never could do such a thing before⦠so how was she possibly doing it now? She brought her hands down slightly, and the floating rocks seemed to move down with her. Mana then parted her hands slightly to see what would happen, and she saw parts of the group of rocks follow one hand and another part following the other. For a while, it seemed Mana was entranced by this new phenomenon that she somehow created. At least until she heard someoneās voice.
"ā¦eh?" Turning her head, Mana had noticed a young woman standing not far from where she was. It took a minute for her to process her question. She was still trying to understand the⦠floating rocks above her hands. Blinking at her, she looked back at the blue crystals still floating above her hands for a moment before turning her attention back to the woman to answer her question. "Not really. It looks like it, doesnāt it?" she replied. "Actually, itās a funny story. This just happened a second ago. Iāve never done this before." Mana chuckled then. It was half-hearted, but there was an amusing part to it all that made her chuckle a little.
"ā¦itād really be cool if I really was a magician, though." she says.
Mana looked back up at the floating crystals above her hands that were harmlessly floating in place. She cupped her hands together again, bringing the parts of crystals together in a single group. As pretty as it looked, her smile was eventually replaced with a perplexed expression as she stared at them. āā¦hm. I donāt know how to get them down.ā she said. With that in mind, Mana turned her head to look at the young woman. āWould you know how to get them down?ā she asked. She really doubted it, but it wouldnāt hurt to ask.
So, how do you exactly make out of a situation like this? Seeing a girl floating rocks that apparently wasn't a practice routine for some magic trick. It wasn't an everyday occurrence, in fact this wasn't even an everyday thing at all period. The brunette didn't want to be rude and simply outcast someone like her. In fact, she seemed rather unusually calm about the whole situation. Perhaps, she was used to sights like this herself. An odd way to put it, but it didn't deem as odd. Instead of bluntly staring at the other in disbelief like some sort of specimen, she shook her head and gave her a respectful look.
"They- well, they are beautiful." She started out- well, it was better to compliment at least. There was no point in hiding what was true; the rocks truly glistened in beauty like little star lights in the sky. A power like that could be a bliss, or the other away around depending on how the other perceived it. The young woman pondered whether if she was able to levitate other objects- now that would be a useful ability. But that wouldn't be right, she thought to herself, no- it just didn't.
A somewhat disheartened look grimed on her face once asked.Ā "I'd wish I known the answer myself... I don't suppose somewhere there's a manual for this... talent."Ā She tried to put it nicely as she could without sounding too hopeless. To be frank though, there didn't seem to be a chance that someone would know how to control this other than herself.
A thought then came to her mind, though it was more of a suggestion than a solution.Ā "Maybe if you let your thoughts manifest them... since it seems to float at your will." She recalled back not so long ago how hers shut closed once flinching in fear, so perhaps sensations might had been a possibility for this stranger as well.
gallery interpretations || mƤrchen & elizabeth
Today she decided to pay a visit to the art museum, to let out her inner 'artiste'. Although not a self proclaimed painter in any sort, she thoroughly enjoyed recreating sceneries with her small collective brushes whenever a canvas was given to her. Not given many opportunities to venture out of the city, the gallery was possibly the only place for her to experience such perspectives and views from all around the world. Soft classical tunes filling the grand halls as she entered, Elizabeth began slowly down the first hall.
She continued further down the aisle until a particular work caught her attention. Standing there as she contemplated, she felt another presence stand next to her. Slightly shifting her eyes to catch a glimpse of the stranger, it was a man, slender and tall if she might add. To be more in depth, he had an unusual aspect that seemed to make him stand out more than the rest. Be it his skin tone being paler or his dark flowing hair messily tied back, she tried not minding his features. People were much valuable than their appearances- that was what she assumed to believe in at least. That, and she was not one to judge someone as she was aware she had her flaws too. Many, actually.
Starting off with her slight introverted characteristic of spending more time alone thanĀ commuting chatsĀ with another. Alas, an art museum was built to discuss, to make out something from a common interest. So giving herself some credit in confidence, her lips moved concurrently to the sound of piano keys echoing in the background, directing her tone at the man while focusing on the piece.
"What do you make out of this painting? It's... It's somehow enigmatic if you ask me. The context seems simple, but there's really something about it that makes it so... so peculiar."

just lookin' around || rinnosuke & elizabeth
It wasn't long until she stopped and looked around to find herself in a foreign location. Strange, how did she get here? Today all she had to do was run an errand before going home, but... here she was. Before she knew it, curiosity got the best of her and lured her towards the strange shop in the middle of nowhere. One would say it would've been wise to turn and head back to where she came from. After all, what good will come out going inside an eccentric looking store (if it was one to begin with). Yet something made her stay and approach it as warily as possible.
Opening the door, she peeped inside and cautiously entered the shop. So far, she detected no one. Well, that's a good sign- wouldn't want those shop thieves to feel intimidated when they come in. Doubtful whether it was alright or not, the young woman eventually mustered up the courage to convince herself that it shouldn't be too wrong. The door was open to begin with, so it meant it was still in business- wasn't it.
Having a look around, she pursed her lips at most of the objects displayed. It seemed more like a garage where unwanted things were just shoved in by the owner, but she had to keep in mind not to be too critical. Somehow, it was like an antique shop of... a lot of things. A hand reached towards a particular old magazine article until she was startled by what sounded like footsteps. Caught off guard, she turned to see a man who appeared to be the owner of the store.
"O-Oh, hello. Didn't see you there..."
Her hand quickly fell to her side.Ā "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't be wandering about when I'm not planning on buying anything."
