World Cup and New baby

So I suck at Tumblr. Just so many other demands on my time it seems like I only come here when Reddit sends me here. Usually to laugh at something that some dumb teenager posted about how "hard" life is for them. 

Anyways, my life is awesome lately. My son, Malachi Ashton, was born earlier this month and he is fantastic. Being a Dad is kind of crazy. I love it though. I also started a "digital time capsule". Basically I locked in Mal's email address and have been sending messages to him. I hope that he will appreciate my forethought when he's older. 

So I'm going to try and do better about writing on here. We will see how it goes.

Finals are done and life goes on.

Things have been very interesting in the Cramer household. So many decisions that, in the moment at least, seem quite overwhelming. Life is all about changes. That is very easy to say, but not easy to live by. I miss my friends that are out of town. Its crazy thinking about all the times that I had with people and how we related to each other in that moment. 

Not that I am being nostalgic or anything (of course). I have 4 drafts over on my sidebar of this blog. 

It's hard to balance what is interesting/ yet not personal enough to make anyone uncomfortable. Blah.

I am used to writing in my journal. It is safe, secure and always with me.  I don't even know who I would be worried about reading "personal" thoughts. It's not like there isn't a million people out there pouring their heart and souls into their own blogs. 

I guess it's just what I'm comfortable with.

It's Alive!

So I have done an excellent job (kind of) with writing in my personal journal and have decided to revive this blog. I will install the mobile app and do my best to update on a semi daily basis with random things that I think about and how I see this world. 

Life is good and I saw an amazing quote from Thomas Jefferson that subsequently became my Facebook cover. 

"If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing"

Amazing words of wisdom that just resonated with me. 

I have been on a major kick with my health lately. Leslie is doing an excellent job encouraging me and we have a renewed interest in cooking in a healthy manner and being more active in our daily lives. I have not missed a day at the gym in over a month now. Mostly hitting the rowing machine for 30 minutes a day. Times are slowly getting better and I want to join the local rowing club next spring if my times are good enough for me to be of value. 

So, not bad for a "first" entry. I'll take it. Have a great day!
