In The Round deserves a little recap. With a 102 artists participating it was by far the largest group show Graven Feather has ever tackled!

For the month of November we were surrounded by over 600 circular pieces of artwork ranging from oil paintings to mobiles all created with the same 4'' paper disks.

The Keeping of Records: October 3-26 2013

Sarah Gaby-Trotz and Pam Lobb bring a variety of unusual methods and materials into the gallery. Both friends and colleagues in the world of textile arts, the shared show introduces us to a revisioning of technique and narrative in domestic traditions of craft and cultural documents.

THE DOT SHOW is up! Graven Feather is so lucky to host Laura Clayton's newest work. These intricate works on paper are comprised of thousands of colourful dots with slight disturbances in their composition. These irregularities create beautiful moments of movement within their landscape.

Graven Feather is delighted to present an exhibition of new work developed and produced on site during it’s recently established Artist Residency program. Emerging artist’s Madelaine Lyons Cooper, Sarah Sands Phillips, Rawaa Bakhsh and Julie Pasila each visited and worked independently at Graven Feather over a period of 4 weeks during the winter and spring of 2013, using equipment in studio and frequently incorporating the use or integration of printmaking techniques and ideas into existing and familiar media.

Happy to see our intaglio press getting some action from our artist in residence Madelaine Lyons Cooper. Here are some images of her drypoint prints done with plexi glass plates. These are the first stage in @MadelaineLC series of mixed media works. An @OCADUniversity graduate, she vast knowledge about printing and technical details that we're soaking in while we have the opportunity. We also hope she'll share some of her secrets about monoprinting on yupo plates with us while she is at Graven Feather!

We are loving what Rawaa Bakhsh is working on at Graven Feather this month!

@RawaaB is currently working on her masters @OCADUniversity and has found time to work in a residency with us. Her cheery presence and enthusiasm lite up the studio every time she is in. Rawaa has one more week with us and then she is off to another residency in Turkey!
