Emerald cockroach wasp facts..?

TODAY'S FACT IS
Did you know that the Emerald Cockroach Wasp or Jewel Wasp (Ampulex Compressa) is a parasitic wasp that targets cockroaches?
Only the female wasp has a stinger as it is used to paralyze the victim cockroach. The paralytic venom of this wasp isn't used to totally incapacitate the prey, but rather to control it.
After 2 very precise stings, the wasp walks the roach back to her nest by pulling on the antennae of the roach like a leash. Once in the wasp's burrow, she lays her eggs in between the roach's legs and leaves closing the burrow behind her.
The still living roach just sits there for a few days until the eggs hatch and the larvae eat the roach.

The female jewel wasp Ampulex compressa stings her cockroach target twice, first immobilizing it and then flooding it with dopamine and other chemicals that allow her to control its movements.

Yeah sorry wasp haters but y’all don’t know shit. Have you ever even seen the cuteness of Bembicini?
What's little buddy doing?
It’s probably a female digging a burrow for her eggs :)
As a kid, I was really upset that Bill Watterson wouldn't license Calvin & Hobbes so I could have plushies or so there would be a Saturday morning cartoon. Now, I realize his resistance is the reason we don't have a Calvin & Hobbes DreamWorks movie starring Chris Pratt.
Everybody say thank you to Our Lord of Artistic Integrity, Bill Watterson.
