Hi anon! My favourite pairing at the moment is definitely Ashler! There's just so much potential to them, both romantically (learning to trust one another with the feelings nobody else normally is allowed to see, but also the internal turmoils those two would have at the thought of falling in love with the other, with Tyler having a family to take care of and Ashlyn being very awkward when it comes to these things = both would never find the courage to ask the other out unless they learn how to be okay with being vulnerable) and platonically (their shared role as co-leaders, with Ashlyn being the visionary, the one to come up with quick and effective solutions, and Tyler being the voice of reason, the one making sure she doesn't fly to close to the sun, providing another, more grounded perspective. The architect and the engineer), I can't help but find their dynamic fascinating!
If there is anybody I want to see interact and develop as a duo next season, it's Ashlyn and Tyler (pls Red, let them hug when they reunite. WHEN they reunite)
Purely platonically, though, I am very excited to see how Tyden is gonna be dealing with everything! Tyler and Aiden have had drastically different upbringing, and, therefore, have developed very different worldviews, personalities, values, and coping mechanisms (I've talked about it a bit here, but the other reblogs are also worth checking out, because the others have worded it way better than I did lol!!). No wonder these two clashed so much in season 1 and 2. I really want to see how they're going to overcome this obstacle,now that they are separated from the rest, and if they end up learning to understand each other despite their differences.
