Predictions for season 3
We're getting really close to the release of season 3 so here are more predictions as promised !!
Ash and Ben will run into Ryan and Alex.
As much as I would like more scenes of Ash and Ben, I don't expect them to be alone for very long
They're the only two who were not traveling by bus or car so they'd be the closest to Ryan and Alex. I'm assuming Ryan and Alex didn't get very far either considering Ryan's injuries. Ash and Ben are gonna need their help finding the rest of the group so It'd make sense for their paths to cross at some point in season 3.
Aiden's backstory
There have been a few scenes hinting at Aiden's backstory but I think this season we're going to see Aiden open up to Tyler (probably after a moment of tension). From what I've gathered, Aiden is a burnt out gifted kid struggling with ADHD and depression with parents who are unintentionally neglectful or willfully ignorant.
Logan's Backstory
I don't think his full backstory will be revealed due to his ties to the facility and possible lore significance to other characters but it'll definitely be teased. People have been wanting more from Logan and his character so hopefully his screen time is well utilized.
Ryan will sacrifice himself for the kids.
Not sure if this is the direction Red wants to take school bus graveyard in since it's a relatively light hearted webtoon, but it'd definitely be impactful. I can imagine Ryan sacrificing himself for Ben and Ash in the event they do run into each other and them having a really tender moment.
A REAL character death would also help raise the stakes. (Tyler only partially counts because we didn't know he'd come back after season 1 so Aiden definitely doesn't count)
Phantom Clones (1/2)
Okay almost all of my predictions are wishful thinking, especially this one, but it'd be SO cool to have a chapter or two dedicated to the phantom clones. Them gaining consciousness
and silently agreeing to work together to kill their other halves, them taking the originals place (bait and switch) etc.
Plot twist (2/2)
l've had the idea that at the end of the season, a phantom will take one of the original kids place (most likely Ben, I'm not sure if the phantom clones can talk and if so Ashlyn might be the only person who could hear them
Taylor character growth and independence
I'm not saying she's entirely dependent on Tyler but Tyler is way too protective of her. Like Logan, she doesn't receive a lot of screen time and has minimal character growth. (Id argue that none of the main cast do beyond learning to tolerate each other but whatever.)
Without Tyler protecting her, Taylor could finally get some damn screen time. I loved seeing her angry WITHOUT being influenced by the phantom dimension.
Like this? Would love to see more of this
Imo Taylor and Aiden are they're infinitely more interesting when they're separated from their usual duo (Tyler and Ashlyn) otherwise they default to their character tropes/archetypes (sweet peacekeeper and reckless jokester)
Barron or Shane appearance
so annoyed cuz this one didn't save when I was writing it but whatever this is a little out there anyway
I think utilizing Barron to show some of the rumors that have spread around school would be cool. Imagine your Barron, the kids you've been bullying disappear, then a few weeks later they're labeled as extremely dangerous in a news paper article and the police are looking for them.
As for Shane, he was the only other side character to receive a name and a unique design (red mohawk) which leads me to believe he'll be important moving forward.
Maybe he's had some growth since we've last seen him? like Cole from spirit bear?
Or maybe he's worse off than before. It was mentioned Shane was in a gang (Ben's town had a lot of gang activity actually) so he could have gotten himself into a great deal of trouble? I don't know
That's all I have for now!! Ty for reading <3
