im reading this book in which the person who is trying to destroy reality, because she hates how the gods dictate how it is run/purposefully invites lovecraftian eldritch monsters to eat parts of reality in protest, is portrayed as the antagonist and i can’t relate to everyone’s dislike of her like, she sounds sexy and fun

hey i’m ro and my weakness is flawed ambitious characters who are loyal to the entity that gave them magical powers, status, and the opportunity for power but guiltily think they could do better than those superiors, thinks they just need the belief of the superior to do something really effective for their shared mission objectives, and are definitely in love with their sunshine colleague, but squash those feelings, and are DEFINITELY gonna defect and go off on their own, really ill-advised path thinking that it’s for the best of the mission and return to their patron like ‘hey i helped us win, what do you MEAN im the bad guy?!’
