What we’ve been up to: We’re two Canadians travelling frugally wherever the next cheap flight takes us.

In the spring of 2016, we sold almost everything we owned, packed the rest into storage, and flew to Europe. We wanted to live there, and thought we wouldn’t be coming back to Canada for another 5 years at least! But the online job that we were counting on for income fizzled out, and we decided to travel instead of settle down.

After 8 countries in Europe, and visiting two provinces in Canada, we came back to Vancouver island for christmas of 2016, and through a series of unfortunate events, we got stuck helping out family for all of 2017, putting our lives and travel plans on hold indefinitely.

Now we taking advantage of having free time again and trying to do as much as we can. In 2018, we’ve visited Pitillal, in Jalisco, Antigua, Guatemala, San Jose, Costa Rica, and Cancun, on the Yucatan peninsula.

Just indulge me for a second - i love this photoset! The museo de los niños in San Jose was so much fun! It was ten bucks for the two of us, and we had an amazing time. Everything was built for kids, but it was pretty much all interactive and tactile. It would be such a good family outing.
