Radioactive Control by Luzinterruptus
The installation Radioactive Control was created for the Dockville Festival in de Hamburg which tried to demonstrate, in a humorous tone, the paranoia that we are suffering from since the escape of radioactive material in Japan, has brought into question the safety systems at the nuclear power plants. R.I.P. David Bowie.
Bowie’s work from Station to Station through Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) feature some of the most important music that I’ve ever listened to.
There’s not much that I can say that I didn’t say earlier (or that hasn’t been said already). The man was a genius. I’d post a bunch of his music, but tumblr would throw a hissy fit and do something nasty. Instead, I’ll suggest taking a few seconds to type Station To Station or Low into youtube as you’ll find all the proof of Bowie’s genius that you’ll ever need.
And while I appreciate his earlier work (Ziggy and all that), I much prefer the period I mentioned as it sounds unlike anything anyone else was doing then or has done since.
