Hayden laughed while shaking her head. “We all have a bad habit. Mine is booze.” she handed him back the bottle. “Eventually it will. It’s inevitable but why care right now am I right?”

Grayson laughed along with the blonde as he took the bottle. Another sip slid down his throat and his attention was back on her, "You're right! I mean what's the worse we could do----call up an exe?"

“Nobody’s forcing you to,” Audrey mumbled, though her tone staying slightly snappy. He was making her feel slightly self consious for burying herself into seasons three and four over the past week.

“Sometimes lying is okay, I’m not a saint myself so don’t trust me either.” She replied with a simple shrug of her shoulders. Her hazel eyes growing bright with curiosity  at how good of an artist he was. “Well of course they’ll come flocking, it’s about time our generation produces a Da Vinci. "Really?" he asked, taken by surprise by her statement. "I wouldn't take you for a liar.---I wouldn't say I'm a Da Vinci. Especially because most of my pieces go nameless."

Audrey stared at him, her mouth open slightly as she tried to think of a reply, “W-well it’s a good part.”

“I think you’d be surprised by just how much it takes to surprise me,” Eleanor said with a sigh as she brought the flask to her lips again. Whether it was a side effect of never getting involved enough to care or simply that she’d gotten numb to what went on around her, the only thing that had surprised her in a long time was him. “You kind of stop being surprised by things when you realize that even Lifetime would think your story was too unrealistic.”

Grayson raised his eyebrows, taking the flask from Eleanor. "Life time can suck it then---" he mumbled before placing the end in his lips and taking two gulps. With the edge of his shirt, the male wipped his lips and quickly went in for a kiss. Just as fast as it happened, it ended. "Did that surprise you?" he asked, unable to hide the smile that came over his lips everyting they touched.

“Well thank you for the honesty.” She replied, slightly curtsying as she flashed a cheeky grin his way. “That makes sense though, I really do think it’s a timing thing that helps you discover your true calling. But you’ll have to paint me like one of your French Girls.” She playfully tousled her blonde locks as she propped a bent arm behind her head as she recited the famous line.She wasn’t really sure why she was being so silly with him, but she felt comfortable enough to do so. Something she hadn’t felt in awhile. “Oh okay, well  I’ll keep your true intention hush hush.”

"I'm not always honest, though. So don't trust me," he warned. Grayson watched the girl curtsy, his smile still on his lips. "If you want to---I'm sure I'll have a great piece. People from all over the world would want to buy it and I'll be the richest living artist!"

“Rough life” Hayden responded before taking  the bottle back and having another sip from the bottle before handing it to the man before her. “I take it this is also your way of “dealing” with your problems?”

Grayson scoffed and nodded his head, almost as a sign of relating to her. "Oh yeah--" he began, in a very sarcastic tone, "this and smoking. Oh and drugs. That lady that was paid by the government to see me when I was little said I had really bad habits that would eventually take a toll on me. That day has yet to come."

Alessa was never one to accept help from anyone. The very idea was enough to offend her. And you could tell by her facial features she was offended. “Thanks for not giving me shit and lecturing me on how bad smoking is” she responded instead of starting a fight.

Grayson pressed his lips and chuckled at the blondes remark, "Oh---I hate when people do it to me, why would I do it to you? I get it, it's bad. But I've been doing this shit for long enough to know it's going to kill me one day. Plus, I don't need to ruin your smoke break. Don't think I'm that cruel."

Poisoned | Grayson & Alice

Alice wasn’t much of a crier, generally speaking. However, when it came to Grayson, she always ended up choking back tears. It’d been so long since they were there to support each other.

She could hear the pain he held still about their parents. She, too, resented them for everything they’d done and hadn’t done. Unfortunately, Alice had more baggage than Grayson assumed, though, and that’s what scared her. What would happen when he found out that she was more screwed up than he expected?

“Just us,” She whispered, nodding. “I, um… I don’t know how to be a sister, Grayson.”Alice felt like her life had turned into one big soap opera. She was wondering when her own evil twin was going to come and kill her and try and take her place by now. Still, with Grayson here in this hospital room, Alice felt like her life might be manageable after all. “We could start with doing something together that isn’t watching Jeopardy on this ancient TV, though. They said I can be discharged tomorrow. Maybe we can, um… see a movie or something.”

Grayson watched his sister analyze his words. He knew it’d be difficult from being alone and independent to having someone there for the rest of your life. What she’d been through was never going to be the same, but what he did know was that they both needed each other to survive any longer. 

“And I don’t know how to be a brother, Alice,” he responded. “I’ve never had anyone to be there for me, or the other way around. But with you it’s different. You’re blood runs through mine and that’s enough for me to do whatever it takes to make you happy.” Grayson sat back in the hospital chair, inhaling to fill his lungs once more. When she mentioned the ancient television, the male let out a soft laugh which caused the room to feel less full. “Or we could start by getting you settle into a place. You can always from and room with me. I have an extra room-- there’s lots of space. You can do your thing and I can do mine. It’ll help with getting us used to each other. What do you say?”

Josie’s nose crinkled up more as her giggling took over, modestly raising her shoulders up as she pondered over his question. “Is it bad that I don’t really know if I do love something more than myself? I mean I’m not trying to be conceited or anything because I’m not entirely in love with myself either. I guess you could say I’m still looking for something to love and be passionate about. Although maybe writing has touched my interests slightly the past few weeks.” She replied, tucking a few strands behind her left ear as she nodded. “Yeah, books are pretty great. Good for you though for thinking about others and their well being.”

The girls giggled brought a smile on his lips as he watched her speak. "No-- it doesn't make you conceited," he assured her. "Not everyone has it easy to know what they're passionate about. I, for example, didn't know I liked painting until high school. I always admired art but never thought I was capable of creating something beautiful." Graysed pressed his lips together, it'd been a while since he'd talked with someone like this. "I'm actually just looking out for myself."

“Rough day?” she guessed. No judgement was used in her tone.  After all she had no room to judge sine she was drowning her own sorrows.  It’s  the only reason she figured people would drink this early in the day.

Grayson looked over at the blonde and then back to the ground. "More like a rough week." He reached over and took another sip. With the warmth of the alcohol down his throat he asked "What about you?"

“Don’t mention it” she responded before taking another drag of her cigarette. “I’m fine”

Alice’s eyebrows knit together. Was he blaming himself for this? Did he just apologize? Never, in Alice’s whole life, had anyone looked at the fuck ups she’d made and blamed themselves. It was always ‘you should have known better’ and ‘well if you had just thought about it, it wouldn’t have happened that way’.

She squeezed Grayson’s hand and shut her eyes. “You didn’t do anything wrong. I lied… to everyone… about being fine. I’ve been doing that my whole life… I don’t know how not to. I’m sorry.” She couldn’t look at Grayson - not while she was admitting something like this.

Grayson let out a breath of air he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. He knew exactly what it felt; they’d been through the same violence and neglect. “No...No...” he mumbled, unable to process a proper sentence. “You had no reason to tell anyone anything Alice. It’s okay--- we could spend hours finding someone to blame but only you and I both know who are the ones responsible.” 

A wave of disgust flooded his stomach at the thought of his parents. They were the ones to blame for their unhappiness. They were the ones to blame for the emptiness their kids felt even now as adults. “They didn’t give a shit about us Alice, we always had each other. And just like then I promise you that’s how its going to be. Just you and I.”

She nodded in response to his clarification of the book on top of the copier glass. A soft smile spreading across her features as he explained himself further, she wished she had more of an interest to study about a topic she had somewhat of a passion for. Maybe she could get into something with this library so able to her now. “No, it’s not odd at all. It’s rather exciting to see someone so passionate. I envy you.” She quickly responded, chuckling at his last comment. “Oh yeah, that’s actually pretty smart of you. Saves you the embarrassment of telling the librarian you lost one of her books.”

Grayson felt a smile spread across his lip--he felt like a dork when he spoke about painting. "You shouldn't envy me, don't you have something you love more than yourself?" he asked curiously. Grayson laughed along with the blonde, "Exactly---and I know how precious books can be to people and I'd hate to be responsible for something like that."
