“I don’t know if I”m ready to be a mother,” Jenna said seriously. “I suppose I’ll have to try. There’s websites with this information, r-right?”
“Are you expecting to be a mother anytime soon?” Grayson asked cautiously.

“Oh it’s okay, I have some healers friends that could help me out with that lie. Oh dad knows and he agrees but you know, ever since she realized Cam’s not a golddigger she’s been hinting about it, like oh after the wedding comes the kids, I’m half sure when we say goodbye before going to the honeymoon she’ll say something like okay… Have fun and don’t forget to come back with one in the oven!.” He chuckled. “By the way, are you bringing a date to the wedding?”
“Did mom really think she was a gold digger? Maybe there is just something weird with me, but I never really thought that of Cameron.” He commented, letting out a small breath. “But I see where your argument is coming from, however, I don’t know how I feel about telling her something is wrong with you or Cameron.” Grayson paused for a some before shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head. “I don’t believe so. I mean, when is your wedding again?”

“Oh, I’m sure. Do you want me to get signatures on this? Is Grayson Palmer weird? I’m sure your student would support me.” She teased right back. “Aw, why not? I’m asking nicely.”
“I think you’re more likely to get a vote about me being a hard ass than me being weird.” He commented, laughing a little. “You can ask as nicely as you want, but we still can’t destroy the library. Personally I don’t want to lose my job, or deal with any other consequences that come with doing that.”

“It is early for Halloween, but if I didn’t think about my costume this early, I could end up having to get a costume in the last minute, because take forever for me to decide”
“I see. Well, then I guess it’s good you are thinking ahead. I guess now you can decide what kind of...whatever it was you were going to be.”

“I mean, I do worry because I don’t want you guys to think I’m a gold digger or anything. I mean I wouldn’t even let Linc buy me a dress for that first wedding…that your parents can never find out about. Listen, it’s a lot of pressure trying to impress people. I’ve never really met anyone’s parent’s when I was dating them or you know met my husband’s parents. I’ve even been stress eating over this.”
Grayson smiled a little before shaking his head. “I don’t think any of us think that way about you. Or at least I don’t and I couldn’t imagine Brooke thinking that about you either. I can understand that things are gonna stressful, but just take a breath and take it one day at a time. I promise you don’t have anything to worry about when it comes to Mom and Dad.”

“He bumped into me and made me spill my coffee, so yes, they might as well have killed my entire family. Would’ve preferred that over losing my coffee actually.”
“Well, I have to say I don’t believe enough people would find that a worthy reason for stabbing something into his eye.”

✘ OVERVIEW ✘
Grayson started out unclaimed just like his younger siblings Brooke and Lincoln, but his element eventually developed when he turned fifteen. He was the first child to be claimed by element in the family, which meant he quickly moved into the spotlight.
Even though their parents didn’t show the same attention to his younger siblings, Grayson refused for them to be treated different. He looked after both of his siblings fiercely, but especially with her being the wild child of the family.
After seeing Brooke constantly passed out and drunk on social media, Grayson pushed his parents to put more pressure on Brooke to go to school. For a while, they told him to just mind his business, but the more Brooke’s trust fund drained, the more Grayson pushed. Eventually, his parents got on board and Brooke was given an ultimatum.
While he is softer when it comes to his family, Grayson is a strict teacher who refuses to admit he is wrong. He pushes the students in the same way he pushed his parents. He doesn’t expect his students to question what he says, it is his way or you can get out of his class. You have to know exactly what you are doing and he doesn’t allow anyone to give any less than 100%.
He teaches Animal Morphism, Transmutation I, Transmutation II, and Runecasting.
✘ BACKSTORY ✘
Growing up the oldest child of three definitely has its challenges, but it has its rewards as well. Grayson had gone through the first few years of his life loving being the center of attention. Why not? He was the only one there, however, around the age of six, his little brother was born and Grayson now loved to share the attention. He had someone else to be around and to play with. It was only about another four years after that when his parents announced that there was going to be another baby around, but this time it was a little sister. Seeing his sister, Grayson grew proud of the little family they had. He was going to make sure he took care of them and was the best big brother out there, no matter what the costs.
As the Palmer children continued to grow, so did the amount of structure Grayson had in his life. It was easy to see that the kids were growing into their own people, and Grayson had become more adult than child far quicker than his siblings. When it came time for his element to reveal himself, the oldest child was disappointed to find out that nothing had happened. Although, he wasn’t planning to let that stop him. He still went to secondary school and had proven himself to be better than most the students there. Only thing holding him back was the lack of element, however, that wasn’t going to be a setback for long. Almost right as he turned fifteen, suddenly Grayson could hear voices around him and knew exactly what that meant, he had been claimed by Earth.
Finally he had the chance to really prove himself and become the best version of himself that he could be. The only set back to this was the fact that he had once again, gotten all the attention of his parents, leaving his brother and sister left behind. However, Grayson wasn’t going to let this happened. He was going to take care of his siblings and he wasn’t changing that plan. Grayson made sure his brother and sister felt like they had the same amount of support that he did, encouraging them to just do what they could, since they seemed to be having the same problem he had at their age.
Eventually his brother was off doing his own thing, and Grayson couldn’t have been prouder, but he wasn’t so happy about his sister’s activities. Most siblings would have let it be, they wouldn’t have worried about it and minded their own business, but that wasn’t what Grayson could do. Seeing his sister continue to ruin her reputation and just throw her life away wasn’t something he could stand. Even away from home, he had constantly encouraged his parents to get her to stop. They needed to step up and do whatever it took to make sure she was taken care of, even if that meant cutting her off. He constantly got shut down and was told to worry about himself, but he couldn’t do that. He would even try convincing his sister to help herself, but he felt like he was talking to a wall. So when it came to family, he felt like he was stuck.
Where there might have been some trouble with his family life, work was going as well for Grayson. He had been made a professor at the same school he went to and was teaching his students to have the same kind of mentality as him. Of course he realized that not all the students would continue to think like this, but he was going to make damn sure that they were going to learn and be ready to pass his exams with nothing but the utmost confidence. Some students took to this easy, some didn’t, but eventually, they passed and moved on to the next class. He was having a good life, and things were hopefully going to get better.
The Palmer parents finally did something about his sister and Grayson was relieved. It was the help she needed and now she could get better. His brother had face a tragedy and Grayson could only feel for him. However, his brother decided to come work at the same school he did, and the same school his sister had been at as well. Now the Palmer children were back in the same place, but he wondered if they would really be back to their old ways? Grayson only hoped this was going to be the start of something great for the three of them.

“Well I was thinking that I could shove a twig through that student’s eye. Not to kill him of course, only some minor brain injury that could incapacitate him for life.”
“Hm,” He started, pausing for a moment. “That’s certainly a plan. Can’t say it’s a very good one, but it’s a plan.” Grayson continued. “Was what they did really that bad?”
lincoln-palmer:
“Right after the wedding I will call mom and dad and tell them that there was an accident and that unfortunately it seems I can’t have kids anymore, so mom lays off our back for grandkids and then when it finally happened we’ll say it was a miracle or something. Do you think it’ll work?”
Grayson listened to his little brothers plan, quirking a brow as he spoke. “I think you would need a very convincing accident to really fool them, or at least make it really look like it’s too hard to talk about.” He replied. “Wait, why are you saying this to them? Why not just tell them you aren’t planning to have kids soon?”

“You’re weird.” Brooke said with a roll of her eyes. “I just need you to know that. You’re the weirdest person I’ve ever had to put up with.” She did smile though. “Alright, so now that you’re you again, can you destroy the library? Lincoln won’t do it for me.”
“Sure you don’t just think that because I’m your brother? If someone else acted like this, you might find it funny.” Grayson challenged, shrugging his shoulders. “No, Brooke, I’m not going to destroy the library for you. For multiple reasons.”

Will came out, a towel rubbing his hair. “No worries, mate. Didn’t interrupt me. Just got the shit scared out of me.”
“Hm, my bad, didn’t realize I was slamming it. Guess I wasn’t paying as much attention as I should have.”

“I will buy the costume” he took a while to pick the costume, but he finally decided. It was no surprise took him so long, he was an indecisive person. “I’m so excited for Halloween”
“Well, sounds like your problem has been solved. A little early for Halloween, but at least you won’t have to worry about finding a costume at the last minute.”

“I don’t know,” Jenna said, shaking her head. “The bird’s alive, but I don’t know if its mother will take it back now. Should I try to raise it myself?”
“Hm,” He thought for a moment. “Maybe you can see if the mother will take it back, then if not, I guess you could raise it on your own.”
cameronpalmer:
“Talk to the wedding planner, I guess. I really want it to look classy, and I kind of really want you and your family to at least like me,” she said hopefully. She knew Brooke liked her, and she adored and loved her. She didn’t know about the rest of the Palmers though.
Grayson nodded his head, smiling a bit. “Cameron, you really don’t have anything to worry about. Mom and Dad probably already love you and you seem to have my siblings love, so I don’t see how anything could go wrong there.”

Will heard a large crash and he sighed, his head rotating to look at the ceiling before he put his pants on. A shower after a workout was always needed for him but something like that was never a good sign. “Whatever you broke, I’m not helping you with it.”
Grayson hadn’t been paying much attention when he accidentally slammed his locker shut before turning to the voice. “Um, nothing broke. Just closed my locker a little harder than planned. Didn’t meant to disrupt you.”

“Oh god. That is the last time I go to check out a noise complaint in a dorm room. My eyes, I want to burn my eyes.”
Grayson couldn’t help but laugh a bit before shaking his head. “Don’t you just miss being in college?” He commented. “Hope it wasn’t too bad.”
