Greta dropped her hand from his arm, her head falling back in an unabashed laugh. âOh, see, if you spend any time with me going forward you will soon learn that I can carry a joke for a while. You being a quote âold manâ? Yeah, I probably wonât let you live that one down. Fair warning.â Sheâd flashed Grayson a teasing grin. âColor me impressed. You have awoken your inner smugness and I have to say I like it. Please keep unabashedly proclaiming yourself a piece of fine art, like, every day. We can even submit you to a gallery for display.â By this point their offhand choice of mead had done its job, causing Greta to wobble unsteadily on her stool. Stifling a giggle the blonde caught herself on the bar, âthank you. I use it to dazzle unsuspecting victims.âÂ
âOld man... Merlin, the things I put up with,â Grayson faked a dramatic sigh before allowing his lips to curl up at the edges into a smirk. There was no harm in having a little confidence even if that confidence was currently spurred on by the alcohol running through Graysonâs veins. He had taken himself slightly by surprise. âIâll make sure I continue to perfect my art in that case; galleries only accept the best. I think Iâm quite happy to be an unsuspecting victim.â

Evan spent a lot of time in bars, whether it was for meetings with other deatheaters or just for a drink. He was a drinker and it was easier than going home to an empty home. â I only take the cute ones.â He smirked.
âAh, well, thank you,â Grayson flashed him a soft smile. âI do feel a little... out of place in here, though. I feel like if you went to the toilet, someone would definitely hex me.â
edgarpuffbonesâ:
Edgar felt warmth pulse through him all the way to his fingertips when Grayson looked at him. His hands flexed instinctively, itching to reach out and grab him, pull him close. Later. There would be plenty of time for that later, for Edgarâs fingers to take him apart slowly, oh so slowly. Edgar stood up, and pressed a hand to the small of Graysonâs back to guide him towards the door. âDo you trust me to apparate us?â he murmured.
Graysonâs head felt heavy thanks to the drink heâd consumed. More had gone into his than he originally planned and maybe that was way he was walking out the bar with the maleâs hand planted on his lower back. âI trust you,â he nodded, glancing up at Edgar once as they hit to cool night air. Inhaling a lungful of fresh air, Grayson did his best to collect his thoughts and process what was going on, what was happening.
keeperkingrosierâ:
â Great choice.â He smirked nodding to the waiter to bring that along with his usual. Evan wasnât the type to match into a pureblood bar with a half-blood, but Grayson seemed okay and he was sure if he needed to he could remind people not to question. â Do you go to bars often with strangers, are should I feel special?â He teased.Â
âI tend to go to bars alone, actually. Very rarely do I have someone with me,â Grayson answered, his eyes scanning his surroundings. He went to Quidditch bars with colleagues but generally drank alone in the Leaky Cauldron after a stressful day at work; he liked to unwind alone. âDo you often take strangers to bars?âÂ
gretacatchâ:
âOh, of course.â Greta agreed with a nod, but her grin grew a hint more smug. âIt got you to laugh, thoughâ didnât it? So, they can be decent if used properly.â Sheâd shrug, humor had always been her go-to. Was someone lecturing her about being reckless? Make a joke. Was her best friend worrying over her habit of only pursuing one night stands? Make a joke. Was someone asking a personal question she didnât want to answer? Make a joke. Greta wielded her sense of humor like some kind of cure all. âNot to mention, just straight flattery works wonders.â Using him as an example, Greta reached across to place her hand on his biceps. Giving it a ginger squeeze, âholy Harpies. For an older gentleman youâre fairly toned. Did you make a deal with some shady fellow in Knockturn Alley for a Buffing Potion?âÂ
Grayson narrowed his eyes for a moment. âI donât know whether I should take that as a compliment or be offended by the âolderâ comment,â Grayson mused, slowly starting to grin across at her. âI still work out, donât need a Buffing Potion to help create this fine piece of art. Iâm just gifted with good looks and a cracking body.â Pausing for a moment, he returned a compliment. âYou know, I canât stop admiring your smile.â
edgarpuffbonesâ:
Edgarâs equal opportunity mindset had served him well over the years, making sure his bed was never empty, even if his heart was. He did care about the people he slept with, even if it was just for that one night, but he didnât let the feelings linger. It was easier to just kiss goodbye in the morning and let it be a happy memory, then let it develop into something that could break hearts. And Grayson definitely looked like he could break a heart or two. Edgar kept tracing slow designs against the soft skin of his inner wrist, eyes dark as he looked up. âMaybe we should go somewhere more private, then.â He pressed his thumb down directly over Graysonâs pulse point. âMine, or yours?â
Through pursed lips, Grayson let out a low puff of air. He felt hot around the collar, his palms were sweaty and his leg was twitching. His eyes locked with Edgarâs for a moment, the alcohol blurring his vision and thoughts slightly. His judgement was clouded by the drink and yet he still found himself uttering a soft reply to Edgarâs question. âYours,â he stated, slipping off the bar stool.Â
gretacatchâ:
Quickly Greta was reminded it was best not to pry, if she asked too much about others than they might expect the same from her. So, sheâd decidedly accepted his vague explanation with a nod and a soft smile. Enduring another steady sip of the crisp mead she held in her grasp. âJump out of my seat? Hmm, someone is suddenly a bit more confident.â Greta teased, her chin nestled into her palm â watching Graysonâs expression broaden. âThatâs it,â sheâd cracked into a loud unabashed laugh. Her stool wobbled slightly beneath her frame, having to steady herself with an elbow propped against the bar âthat is the best thing I have ever heard. How am I supposed to one-up you now?âGreta hung her head in mock defeat.Â
âI heard someone say that at a party once and I cringed on their behalf. Still, it seemed to work because the pair of them vanished soon after,â he chuckled, drink back up at his lips. Grayson used to be that confident but after his accident it had taken a lot to build up what little confidence he had left. Trying to fix yourself was a difficult task, one that Gray had almost given up on so many times previously. âI think if you can flirt naturally and hold a conversation with someone, you donât really need pick up lines.â
keeperkingrosierâ:
Evan saw the confused looks he was shoot and well as the flares that were tossed to Grayson but he ignored them all, in favor of smiling at the male. â I would hex anyone that would even dare to do that.â He said. â You should relax. As long as you are with me, no one will do or say anything to you.â He said waving over the waiter. â what do you want to drink?â

Grayson had never been friendly with someone who others feared; usually he was too intimidated to stick around and trying to have a conversation. Though Evan had started off quite strong, he seemed to have mellowed in Graysonâs presence and Gray was actually enjoying his company. âAle?â he suggested. âAny wet and alcoholic.â
keeperkingrosierâ:
Maybe Evan lived close to the edge. Maybe he wanted to piss his father off more than he already, but he had no idea why he was flirting with the halfbloood. Just the thought of sleeping with someone of lesser blood disgusted him, but Grayson was exceptionally cute. â this is a very exclusive bar, Grayson, only the best witches and wizards know this location.â He grinned pulling him into the bar. He nodded to the bartender making his way to the back of the bar to a darken booth. â sit.â He said

Walking inside, Grayson glanced around and noticed several pairs of eyes flicker onto him. He felt out of places, uneasy but he stood tall and tried to look a little less intimidated in Evanâs presence. Slipping into the booth, he looked across at Evan and smiled, âIt does feel a little out of my comfort zone, I will admit. Are you sure I wonât get thrown out?â

keeperkingrosierâ:
â One of my favorite things about this elevator.â He chuckled. â Iâve got to watch loads of people fall on their arses since I was little.â He said. â I wouldnât let you fall on your pretty arse.â He commented. â It is serious work, and stressful for work.â He said. â What? I canât get through my mornings without reading you column.â He said as the elevator stopped. He walked out, leaning Gray outside the ministry. â Hold on.â He said wrapping his arms around him as he apparated them away to outside the bar. Â
It was clear that he was flirting with Grayson and he didnât really understand why. Had he suddenly become attractive to the same sex? Had he become attracted to the same sex? First Edgar, now Evan. Either way, Gray wanted a beer. Following Evan, Grayson glanced around at the other witches and wizards being a lot more serious when it came to their work. âOkay...â Holding on tight, Grayson braced himself as he was flung into appartation only to arrive moments later outside a bar.Â

Her brow arched. âReally? Wow, I feel like a toad. Youâre right. We do need to do some breaks together, now that I know you donât mind getting a little dirty for food.â Mary finished off her sandwich, again licking her fingers because she had conveniently not wanted to get up and get napkins, and when she finished, she leaned back with a sigh. âDo you get the chance to go to actual matches then? I donât think Iâve been to one since the summer I left school.â
Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand again, Grayson pushed his now empty plate away and sipped at his rapidly cooling coffee. âIâm down for some dirty food and dirty lunches. I think fatty foods makes it easier for me to think,â he replied, knowing full well that food like this made him sleepy; it was the buzz from the coffee he drank all day that kept him going. âYeah, I go to quite a few matches. Sometimes I even commentate on games.â
keeperkingrosierâ:
He chuckled watching grip the handle. â Are you afraid of Elevators, Darling.â He asked. â If so you can hold on to me.â He teased. â I do many things at the ministry, wear a lot of hats, but officially I work for the department of mysteries.â He said. â Well that sucks, I need my space.â
âNo, I just know that this elevator likes to throw its occupants around; I donât want to end up on my arse in front of you,â Gray explain, shaking his head. âNice, Department of Mysteries... I bet thatâs serious work, more serious than what I do.â
keeperkingrosierâ:
He called for the elevator before pulling the male inside with him sending the elf away as he turned to Grayson.â There is nothing I have to do that is better than drinking with you.â He said. â I need a good stress reliever, Iâve been working to hard.â
Keeping his footing, Grayson moved to grip the handle in preparation for the jolt of the elevator. âWhat do you actually do?â he asked, intrigued. âIt must be important if you have an office. I just have a little desk crammed into a tiny room with six other people.â
marymaxdonaldâ:
She let out a little sigh, sated and miffed all in the same breath. That was the second time she had swung on her mood with him. âI write for the humanities section of the Prophet. I used to be⌠My job used to be different, but itâs not likely to change back any time soon.â Mary paused to take a drink of coffee. âWhat about you? Where did you end up?â
âWriting for the Prophet, too. I donât think Iâve seen you at work yet but Iâm in the sports department, Quidditch mainly,â Grayson explained. Though heâd been working there for a number of years, he still didnât know most of the people; Gray tend to stick to his department and kept conversations to the minimum. âYouâll have to swing by for lunch breaks and coffees.â
keeperkingrosierâ:
He smirked. â Itâs always best to listen to what I said, and do as I say.â He said. â Trust me itâs a lot more enjoyable when you do.â He said. â I wonât have you looking like a fool or cry.â He laughed.  â Great. I know a perfect little pub, that we can go do.â He said placing his hand to his lower back guiding him back to the elevator.Â
Turning on the spot, Grayson gladly walked back towards the elevator. The lack of windows and endless corridors was starting to give him a headache so being back outside again was what he needed. âDonât you have other things to do this afternoon besides drinking?â
