Nanaboozhoo called from the kitchen, motioning for Tintin to join him. He and Mira had been working on preparing a feast all morning, but as Mira went out to take her sisters out to play, he was left to finish the food for their feast for that evening. “Try this for me, will you?” He Lifted the spoon from a pot of stew and raised his brow slightly, waiting for Tintin’s thoughts.
“I believe Migizi and his family will be joining. I at least invited that old bird.” He chuckled. They had made quite a lot of food, but he was sure it would be just enough for everyone. Especially with 5 or 6 young spirits running around.
“Ah, Nookomis and Mother Earth may have made a point of saying they may come for a visit to see the children.”
Tintin had just been straightening up the living area, readying it for their guests before the families arrived when Nana calls. The meals that he and their eldest had prepared threatened Tintin’s appetite that he had needed to grab something to munch. Oh did his eyes brighten as he gladly tasted the soup. A smile smoothed over his lips as he covers with his fingers, nodding.
“I think you’ve outdone yourselves,” he says after a moments tasting. He had expected at least the family of birds to drop by, and undoubtedly the girls’ grandmother and great grandmother -- it was what made the man roll up his sleeves in the first place.
“Do the girls know they’re coming?” Their daughters would surely be excited to see their family all together again.
