My family stopped by the Glen Burnie carnival last night to people watch. We weren't disappointed. You can't beat a 3 buck carnival crab cake.

Last year, around this time, I took a day trip with some friends to the Hamilton Pool Preserve in Dripping Springs, Texas. I think about this place often. I'd like to go back someday.

I noticed that the back door latch on my Nikon F100 was broken today. I hardly use it, but it's a beautiful, rugged camera that takes fine images. I think I'll look into fixing it. There's something about images created on film that makes me feel warm, even if the cost is hard to justify.

Over the weekend, we steamed a half bushel of Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs (Callinectes sapidus). A National Bohemian beer and a "beer-full" of white vinegar works nicely in our 20 gallon pot. Add J.O. spice throughout, generously.
