The Great Lakes~

Our Past, Present & Future (hopefully). We need to do everything we can to save the Great Lakes and everything in their watershed areas. This includes the water quality itself, fish species, plant species, other animals, stopping its unnecessary use for human luxury, the dangers of hydrofracking, industrial waste, and protect it from the privatization of the public waters from companies such as Nestle Waters and many others! (many of which are already harvesting water in our area and selling back to us at ridiculous prices!). This blog is dedicated to the beauty of the Lakes and issues surrounding it.

This is the #1 reason I would NEVER live in Oswego again. That and the general idealism of alcohol is disgusting. That POOR BEAUTIFUL LAKE…. all these idiots need a large beer thrown in their faces and a huge reality check.

Maybe someday a few idiots will get in a huge fist-fight in the lake and drown. Maybe that’s what it would really take to shut down this horrible display of human greed and igorance.

    This is the most upsetting thing that happens in Oswego every year. Harbor Fest. It is supposed to exist to celebrate the existence of the Harbor in the city and the good things that come from it and have in the past. However - the city is FILLED with bars to the point that you can’t hit them all up in a night if you tried (which they do during Bridge Street Run which is the 2nd most disgusting thing about Oswego). THE POOR LAKE is suffering because of you sloppy, arrogant, asshole idiots who can’t understand the idea that if we continue to abuse this body of water we will LOSE IT.

Radioactive Water Enters Lake Michigan

A federal safety official says that 79 gallons of “very slightly radioactive water” from a leaky tank at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant spilled into Lake Michigan.

Operators of the southwestern Michigan plant shut it down Sunday after discovering a growing leak Saturday in a water storage tank.
