-When Robot wakes up in the morning to get ready for work, he saw that the apartment had been completely cleaned, dishes included, and there had even been flowers on the table with a note attached-
"Morning Robot. If you're reading this, I'm probably sleeping. I spent all night cleaning because I couldn't sleep at first after our fight. I also wanted to show you some gratitude, which is probably long over due. You put a lot at risk looking out for someone you barely know, every day. The least I can do is make it easier on you. I don't mean to make your life harder than it has to be. So I hope this makes up for that a little. - love Barb"

-and as it turns out! The roses were actually made from bacon-
(Mod note: Not Barb doing all that just to call Robot mom XD)
(Robot find himself staring at the paper for longer than he needs to. He reads it once, twice, then skims over it the third time.)
(He looks up and around, properly analysing his surroundings now that he is no longer distracted by the items on the table. Jeez. She wasn't kidding when she wrote "all night", this is hours of work. Work him and Monster have been slacking on for a while.)
(Their argument was, yet again, over her safety. Humans are aliens to thieir world. She's in danger just going outside, yet she insists on sneaking out. He understands, he really does, but he'd gotten so mad at her this time...)
(He puts the items down on the table to go and check on her. He opens the door to the guest bedroom and rolls to the bedside. She's out like a light, snoring quietly. As Robot looks at her, he wonders how the hell he managed to score another person who, ultimately, is as kind to him as Monster, despite his horrid attitude.)
(He leaves, goes back to the table. He gets three plates- clean plates- then begins peeling the bacon petals off of the roses.)
(When Barb wakes up, it'll be to a breakfast with her two caretakers. Robot's appology, made out of her own. Happy Mother's Day, indeed.)
