Welcome to my Greed/Ed events blog! I made this blog to post events for my Greed/Ed server on discord, starting with weekly prompts every Sunday! These prompts are open to anyone who wants to participate, regardless of they're on the discord server or not.

2026 Greed/Ed Spring Extravaganza

I promised myself I would never lie. But sometimes I wonder if pretending everything is okay is lying. And most days everything is fine. We spend our days just as we always have, living life to the fullest for both ourselves and each other. But some late nights after he's gone to bed, the subtle dread that this can't be forever comes creeping in.
Over the years, I've watched golden hair slowly fade to silver and soft skin begin to crease while I stay exactly the same as I have been for the past 200 years. And I know that one day, I'll wake up next to a memory instead of the man who taught me how to love. I'd thought I wanted everything until I learned that what I really wanted was friends. But with Ed, he showed me that the one thing I wanted, what I really needed, was someone to share my life with.
But we've had decades, not centuries, and no matter how much we give to each other in the time we have, it'll never be long enough. Sometimes I wonder how many years he still has with me, but I've long learned it's better not to spend any real time questioning a mortal's lifespan.
I've watched the people I care about disappear over the years, leaving a hole behind I've tried to fill with luxuries, power, sex, and a loyal crew, but I've really always known it's never enough. My intrinsic greed has always been a part of me and always will be, but those will never be what I truly want. Ed filled all those empty spaces just by being by my side. The way his eyes shine when he's fixated on something that interests him, the dedication he puts towards the people and things that mean the most to him, his laugh, that special way he looks at me and only me. When I see that genuine love and acceptance directed focused solely on me, I can forget everything else, even if it's only for a little while.
So what will fill the gaping hole when he's gone, too?

Hoping this event will help me write Greed/Ed again! The Halloween event inspired me to write the ship for the first time, and I had a blast. Fingers crossed!
I'm having fun with this! I'm only writing one fic, but it incorporates prompts from Day 1 and Day 4 and is getting way longer than I expected! I do plan to post it before the week is over, but, late entries are allowed, so, either way, I'll add it to the collection! Wishing anyone else who wants to make something for the event has a great time!

Summary: Then something awful happened that made Ed take two steps backwards. How had he missed the glass of milk in Greedâs other hand? The thick white liquid moved, leaving a frothy residue on the rim. Edâs eyes widened as he watched, horrified as Greed brought the glass up to his lips and down it in one go. His fantasy of Greed sauntering over, sweeping him off his feet, and passionately kissing him shattered and lay in tatters in the recesses of his mind.
