Girldad!Silco Appreciation Week

Hello! This is a prompt week I'm running in the Silco Discord server I mod, and I want to open it to Tumblr too. I believe Silco wasn't a perfect father but he tried his hardest to be a good dad for Jinx and I want to celebrate that. Season 2 didn't give us the girldad!SIlco content we deserved, so I'm taking it into my own hands, and I hope you will as well!

Some guidelines:

Each day has 3 prompts for inspiration. You don't have to use all of them, and are free to interpret them as loosely or as strictly as you please. Make it fluffy, make it whumpy, make it wholesome, make it angsty, make it anything you want.

Participants can create a different piece for each day, combine days, or make a single creation that includes at least one prompt from each day. You can post your art/fic/creation on the latest day of whichever prompts you're combining. You do not need to make something for every day to participate.

The goal of this week is to stimulate your creativity, not stress you out, so please don't feel rushed if something's not finished in time for the posting day. You can share it when it's ready.

You are free to imagine Silco as a parent to additional canon character(s) [I see you Viktor+Jinx siblings AUs].

All Silco ships are welcome to fulfill any of the prompts.

Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation

For fellow federal government employees, those who lose food assistance at the end of the month, and anyone just struggling to get by, here are some resources that can help.

A lot of food pantries, if you tell them, you have a food allergy, will absolutely work with you. I didn’t think about telling them ahead of time, but after Helene when I went to I got a box with several packages of tuna fish (I’m allergic to seafood), so I took the tuna fish packets back so that they could pass them along to someone else who could use them. The woman was very kind and asked me to hang back, then brought me two cans of chicken to replace it. When a friend of mine went two days later to get a box, they had a sign saying that if you had a food allergy, to let them know and they would try to provide a substitute if available. The answers and always “no” if you don’t ask!

I wrote a fic for this! It's a weird crossover with Arcane because my Jinx muse is a menace. She's pretty chill in the fic, though. For her.

Rated M for brief explicit underage sexual content and lots of references to underage sex (Jilco and Greed/Ed). Ed POV, GreedEd getting together with minor EdLing. Arcane canon compliant until partway through S2E8, and FMA:B canon compliant through Team Greed on the run.

Here's a summary:

While Team Greed prepares for the Promised Day, Ed develops feelings for Greed that he can’t ignore. After practically running away from Greed propositioning him on the Day of the Dead, Ed finds himself in a deserted town that doesn't make sense. In this liminal space, he meets another brilliant braided teen, who knows a thing or two about the value of being bold enough to "go get your man.""

New Jilco WIP

Just posted the first chapter of my first *short* Jilco fic (as opposed to the 25k first Jilco fic I posted... Did i remember to post a link here?)! I should be able to finish it soon but I'm posting and flailing about it so that i can stop fucking with the first bit. Do mind the tags! Rules:

This event is for the ship Greed/Ed so they must be the featured pairing in all submissions. Polyamourous relationships are allowed! So long as Greed and Ed are in a romantic relationship with each other. Go nuts with the prompts if you'd like to write threesomes, moresomes, etc.

There is no minimum or maximum on word count for fics nor are there requirements on art other than a basic sketch. All you have to do is fill as many prompts as you like!

When you post, please tag this blog so I can link back to your content!

All creative content is allowed: fan fic, fan art, podfics, mood boards, or any other creative works featuring the ship Greed/Ed. Submissions can be posted to the AO3 collection, tumblr, twitter, pillowfort, or Y!Gallery (any place where I have access to see the submissions).

Any type of content is allowed, however, please tag any trigger heavy content appropriately so people can avoid it if they want to.
