I think the next chapter I write is going to be a brief moment of peace from the neverending horror and just show Kinger and Caine's current dynamic a little more deeply, like the first couple of chapters did.

There's that moment from the second chapter specifically where Kinger is almost catatonic and all Caine can do is pet him like an old cat. That's the feeling I want to shoot for again
