Anyway, if you put character hate in that character's tag, you are a toxic asshole--doubly so if you refuse to remove it--and deserve the callout and push-back you get.

"Don't tag character hate" has always been a basic part of fandom etiquette and is an old fandom rule. It's not a hard concept, and it's not "gatekeeping tags", it's telling that post is improperly tagged.
