Send me a â đ â and I post a gif showing my muses feeling towards yours.
hqangelina:
âi think i usually am, but the thought of begging people to join the cause puts a bad taste in my mouth. like we have to convince people that the wizard who would kill us all in the blink of an eye is bad. god, itâs ridiculous.â maybe it wasnât the greatest move, to basically insult someone who hadnât chosen a side yet right to their face, but in the woman standing next to her angelina felt and almost kindred soul, at least in the context of this horrid party. âi would say i mean no offense, because i know youâre not in the order, but i donât think you want me to lie to you.âÂ
Astoria remained quiet through Angelinaâs tirade. The dark haired girl suddenly felt her throat go as dry as a desert and quickly reached for the closest thing that was full and alcoholic. Because in a sense Angelina was right. The people her family was aligned with, the people she was aligned with, were not exactly righteous saviors. (Among them was a werewolf  who ate children, for Merlinâs sake). Astoria finally spoke, her voice uncharacteristically solemn. âNo, I understand where youâre coming from.â
drxcoluxius:
âIâve heard that disguises give people more courage than they would have in facing people otherwise,â Draco commented when she brought up his lack of manners. He wasnât going to stand here and pretend these people were his comrades; not when they hissed âmurdererâ and âsnakeâ whenever he passed; not when he was as big of an enemy to them as he was to the movement he had once considered his own. Who was he to show kindness to any of the people who surely wouldnât do the same to him? It was a cruel world, and he was simply making the most of it with what time and resources he had available to him. âIâm just lucky enough to be a bastard both in and out of costume. But at least I know where the refreshments table is.â
âGlaring at everyone is sort of a specialty of mine,â Draco answered, taking a sip of the drink in his hand. âIf youâre considering joining, find a quirk of your own. Snark belongs to me.â
âI suppose so,â Astoria said after a moment, âI donât think I would have come if there wasnât a guarantee that it would be anonymous.â She wasnât sure what dark little crevice that sudden bout of thoughtfulness crept out from. Did they put Veritaserum in this wine? Perhaps now they were seeking to blackmail people into joining the Order, seeing as their recruiters were doing such a shoddy job of convincing her. The whole âPurist Societyâ gimmick did reek a bit of desperation. âAh yes, because knowing where the refreshments table is truly quite a skill. I must have missed the lesson on The Geography of Shoddy Ballrooms in between Potions and Herbology.â
âWhat a pity. Snark is practically my birthright.â Astoria mused, the corners of her lips curling into a smile. âThat and perfect hair.â
Have you ever been to America?
âNo. My fatherâs work did take him to New York a few times, but I was never allowed to tag along. Iâd like to though, maybe once all this blows over.â
âOr, who knows? America is a large country - plenty of places to hide away undetected.â
Have you considered telling your sister about your doubts?
âIf youâre talking about the dress she borrowed then yes, I did tell her that it made her look like a cupcake.â
âOf course not. I donât particularly want to lose the only family member I actually somewhat trust.â
Have you ever wondered what it might be like to join the Order?
âWhy dwell on things that could never happen?â
âYes.â
send me âhave you eversâ and I can only reply with âyesâ or ânoâ
#HANDS DOWN STILL THE BEST LINE OF THE ENTIRE SHOW
hqangelina:
âdo i.â angelina muttered, before quickly turning around to face whoever had just tapped on her shoulder. âactually, theyâre the only thing keeping me sane right now, here, follow me.â downing the drink that was already in her hand quickly, angelina winced as it burned all the way down her throat. it really was the only thing making the event bearable right now, and she figured she couldnât keep that small kindness away from anyone.Â
leading the woman across the ballroom, angelina looked over her shoulder at her. âeither youâre a polite and gracious guest who just wants one drink to hold as they chat up everyone in this room or youâre as much in need of a drink as me, which will possibly make you tolerable right now. choose wisely.â a wink was thrown over her shoulder, not much matching her mood but it felt right anyhow. âiâm angelina.â
âJust the latter really. Iâm not much of a talker If I'm to be honest.â Astoria replied as she let the other woman lead her across the ballroom. Angelina. She knew that name - a name from what felt like ages ago. The girl was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team and was a ... keeper? She never did understand the overrated game of tag, but that had to do with more of the fact that she was never allowed to play it (or even be near a broom for that matter). She didnât know much about the other girl, save for what spun through the rumor mill. âRhiannon.â She heard herself half-shout over the chatter.Â
The fact that the first person she spoke to seemed to be in a fouler mood than a starved hippogriff didnât set her mind at much ease. Again, as it had done so many times earlier, thoughts of the consequences of her attendance brushed through her mind. If someone were to recognize her, or even worse, figure out that her motives for attending werenât on behalf of the Dark Lord but in fact over her own curiosity, the results wouldnât exactly be pretty. Just look at what happened to Draco Malfoy - every other week Death Eaters were sent to scour Europe in search for him and his parents.
Drink. She needed that damn drink.
Thankfully, a passing waiter (in tails, no less - they really did spare no expense) came by carrying flutes of elf wine. It wasnât the strongest, but it would hopefully soothe her rattled nerves. âPolite, arenât you?â She replied, mimicking his disengaged tone. If this prat was the best and brightest of what the Order had to offer then it was no wonder why they were so desperate to recruit more members. âSo,â Astoria began as she lifted a glass from the serving tray. âDo you always stand at the edge of parties and glare at everyone?â
@greengrxsses
Whenever their mother was in one of her famous moods, Daphne tended to disappear from the Greengrass estate until it was safe again. Her parents never noticed her room being empty and her bed unslept in anyway, and she figured that her presence in the house might only detonate the bomb that was her mothersâ emotional well-being.Â
Today, however, she actually needed something from the Greengrass estate â but that didnât mean she was going to make herself known and risk being forced to stay any longer than she had to. Sheâd quietly slid up the marble stairs and into Astoriaâs room without anyone, not even the house-elves, spotting her.
Daphne thought she was going to make it out unseen by anyone as she rummaged through her sistersâ clothing until she heard the door creak open behind her. She barely even had to steal a glance at the figure standing in the doorway to identify her â she could make out her sister anywhere, even in a crowd of thousands.
âDonât worry, Iâm not looking for your secret stash or something,â Daphneâs grin was identifiable in her voice, as she continued to go through the clothing, unbothered with how Astoria might feel about it. âIâm trying to find that cream colored dress you purchased on vacation last year, but it seems like you might own even more than I do.â
To say that the Greengrass sisters had an uncommon relationship was similar to likening the sinking of the Titanic to a boating accident - that is, a gross understatement. They went through hills and valleys - one week theyâd shield the other from whatever trouble the other had landed themselves into and the next it seemed as if they were in a middle of a second Cold War.
As of late, the two had been at a particularly good place. And yes, it might be due in part to the fact that Daphne was scarcely ever around the Greengrass estate but so long as the two werenât glaring at each other across the dinner table or trading passive-aggressive insults, Astoria counted it as a win.
But she did have to admit that she missed her sister. The large house was just felt empty without Daphne, she thought, as she shuffled up the steps to her room. It didnât help that her sisterâs disappearances always seemed to coincide with her fatherâs business trips and her motherâs mood swings.
The door, oddly enough, was flung open, even though Astoria was positive she shut it behind her. Â Perhaps it was the cat, she thought, although she still gingerly headed inside. âDaphne?â Astoria asked incredulously as she stepped into the expansive closet, arms folded across her chest as she caught sight of her sister rummaging through her clothes. âWhat the hell.â
are you a virgin??
âForgive me - I really donât see how thatâs any of your business.â
top 5 memories
My parents were always a bit worried that along with the family curse, Â Iâd end up as a squib as well. So it was quite a bit of relief when I was seven or so and cast my first spell - making flowers grow in the middle of the living room. I think my mother actually laughed.
Getting my Hogwarts letter.
My father would sometimes take Daphne and me along with him on business trips to Paris and Rome and the like, and while he was off manipulating government leaders, Daph and I would wander around the cities. Well, Iâd wander. Daphne was mostly racking up bills at whatever boutique caught her eye.
Adopting Hamlet from the Menagerie. Â
My sixteenth birthday. How she did this is beyond me - but Daphne snuck the both of us out of the house for the day and we went to London. We went sightseeing and acted like tourists, but it was still fun.
