What We are Expecting to See in Early 2016: Cut and Style Trends
We are ringing in the new year this week and we are so excited to set new goals, make new friends, and deliver new, wonderful experiences to you. The hair trends for both men and women in 2016 are starting to appear, and this is what we are forecasting along with the rest of the industry:
Natural waves and hair texture will be popular and effortless. We will be seeing haircuts with uneven edges, wispy bangs, and lots of volume, especially near the root.
The lob (long bob) is staying on the scene, but we will be seeing more a sleek and intentional look being just as popular. High shine and control are important factors in this style.
Short, short, short! Short haircuts are taking over.
For the ladies that want to keep that long, lovely hair, layers, especially around the face, will create more movement and texture to go along with natural hair.
Styles: The flipped crop style (side part, high volume in part, shorter side tucked behind ear), braids, knots, and twists).
Natural texture with clean, kept-up growth.
We will be seeing lots of undercuts combined with long, natural hair on top. This look looks great to the side or slicked back.
If you are a gentleman that prefers a more polished, slick look, a deep side part with shorter sides are super popular.
Aveda Products we recommend:

Air Control hairspray is a favorite around here! It is a working spray that keeps a hold on your style but still allows movement and texture.
