Hi, how are you? I have a request where Izuku is a boxer and is in a crucial fight to win the championship belt against his rival, Katsuki. Y/N is his second and encourages Izuku to keep fighting. Izuku wins the fight and celebrates with Y/N. If you make this request, I would love it.
Hi im good thank you for asking thank you for the request and i hope you and everyone reading enjoys i really liked writing this one!!
Izuku enters the seventh round exhausted while Bakugo continues punching him harder with every attack. As Izuku begins losing confidence, Y/N encourages him not to give up, reminding him how far he has already come. In the final moments of the fight, Izuku sees a small opening that could change everything.
It was round 7 of the boxing tournament finals. It was a close fight but going into this round it looked as if Bakugo was going to take it all. Points wise bakugo was leading after taking the first 5 rounds it was all bakugo. But in the last round it was all izuku. Having two more rounds left Izuku knew he had to push forward.
But izuku didn't feel like he was going to go the distance at all. He had the momentum going into this final round but was it enough to keep on going. Coming this far into the tournament just to lose like this.
He was ready to let all his confidence seep away the little that he had. The little that kept him pushing.
The Next round bell Rung, signaling the start of the 7th round.
The Roar of the crowd shook the whole area.
“Bakugo! Bakugo! Bakugo!”
This was the hardest round of all of the other rounds. They were both tired but kept on. Sweat dripped down Izuku's face as he leaned against the ropes trying to keep himself up he was gassed.
The pain was starting to kick in and the adrenaline he had the first 6 rounds was wearing off. As he was able to get back on his feet he saw Bakugo across the ring, his gloves were raised, blood was smeared across his cheekbone and he had a very threatening smile across his face. Like he was enjoying every second of this.
“Come on Deku.” Bakugo spat, blood coming out of his mouth. “Dont tell me you’re handing me this win already."
Izuku Stood his ground not letting bakugo get in his head
“I still have more in me kacchan, don't count me out.”
This offended bakugo and he wanted Izuku to give up. Angered, Bakugo launched forward, throwing a barrage of hits. The first hit slammed into Izuku’s ribs hard enough to force all the air out of his lungs. Another Punch clipped him in his jaw, sending him backwards.
The crowd erupted as bakugo pressed him harder, getting him in the corner.
“IZUKU MOVE!” Y/N shouted from outside the ring.
Izuku barely moved in time.
Instead of hitting him, Bakugo's glove hit the ropes instead of his face. All the rounds previous had been like this.
Bakugo was the strongest opponent that he had fought throughout this whole tournament but it was just a test, a test he was surviving. Hit after hit he took the beatings from bakugo.
The Bell rang again, signaling the end of the round.
Izuku collapsed onto the stool in his corner, trying to catch his breath while Y/N hurried over with a towel.
“You’re okay, look at me izuku.” Y/N said as she wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth “look at me.”
Izuku lifted tired green eyes towards her.
“You can still win this.”
“He’s faster, he's stronger than me.” Izuku muttered weakly, still trying to catch his breath.
Y/N grabbed his face carefully, forcing him to focus.
“No,” she said firmly. “He’s getting desperate, that's why he keeps rushing you. You’ve survived every round because you’re smarter than him.”
Across the ring, Bakugo glared at both of them.
Bakugo scoffed getting cocky “Tch, Quit giving him pep talks.”
Y/N ignored him completely putting all of her attention on izuku.
“You didn't come this far just to lose now.” she whispered “You hear me, izuku? You aren't done.”
Something in her voice settled all the panic twisting in izuku’s chest.
The bell rang for the final round. The arena exploded with noise as both fighters met in the center of the ring. Bakugo swung first and izuku dodged.
Punch after punch flew between them faster than the crowd could follow Bakugo drove forward aggressively trying to overwhelm him with brute strength.
But then izuku finally noticed it. The opening, so small it was barely there but it was enough.
Bakugo threw a right hook. But Izuku slipped right under it, then drove his fist upward with everything he had left.
The punched landed clean.
The entire crowd went silent as he moved backwards before slamming straight onto the canvas.
The ref started his count.
Izuku just stood there in disbelief, barely able to stand up.
Bakugo tried to push himself up.
The crowd was screaming now.
Bakugo hissed at himself “GET UP DAMNIT!”
But His legs gave up on him.
“AND YOUR NEW CHAMPION…… IZUKU MIDORIYA!”
Izuku froze as the words sank in. He had won, he actually won.
Officials, interviewers, photographers rushed into the ring while cameras flashed from every single direction, but Izuku’s eyes searched for only one person, the one person who pushed him through this and got him here. Y/N.
The second she climbed into the ring, Izuku pulled her into a tight hug.
“We did it.” he whispered in her ear
Y/N laughed, arms wrapping rightly around him despite all his bruises and the sweat.
“No YOU did it.” correcting him
Izuku pulled back just enough to be able to look her eye to eye, his green eyes shining brighter than the championship belt now draped over him.
“No I wouldn't even have made it through the first round without you, if anything I should be giving you this belt, you are the real champion Y/N.”
For once, even with a whole crowd of thousands of people screaming his name, all the flashes, all the cameras, all the microphones, the only thing Izuku could focus on was Y/N smiling at him in the corner of the ring. That was his real champion.
