Okay, so it’s come to my attention that people can’t stop talking about me.
I’m going to clear the air here because I’m sick of it. I’m going to finally say my side of this situation because I don’t want people thinking I’m insane and can’t be approached. or people twisting what happened and making me and others look bad. I’ve censored everyone’s names because I’m not trying to hurt anyone.
I’ll put some screenshots. If you want more, feel free to DM me. Yes, I got banned from the Bethyl Headquarters Discord because I didn’t support Judith X Daryl Shane x Sophia or Carl x Rick :D or the fetishization of trans people. A few others and I split off from the server because of this.
I’m not going to lie; I did request to rejoin so I could remove all of my art and try to tell people to please remove the bots that I coded, because I don’t want to be associated with it anymore. When I initially asked, they said they would... they didn’t and lied to me about it.
And now these people are in that server saying, “Oh, we didn’t want Arabian to be ostracized by the fandom. We have the power to cancel you, but we’re not going to do it?” Okay, boo. What?
How am I going to be canceled because I called someone who works with children and is constantly fetishizing kids in the server a pedo?
I understand trauma can affect this, but I'm going to get a little personal here. As someone who was molested/raped, I think this sort of thing is extremely harmful. You shouldn’t be romanticizing IRL CHILDREN because that can lead you down a dark path of Fetishization instead of coping. And I don’t think you should use that as a crutch for bad behavior.

It all started when someone began talking about pedophilic ships in general, so I said if they did it again, we were going to ban them because that’s literally pedophilia. Keep it in dead dove. Some of the other mods didn’t really like that too much.
But the argument was shutdown pretty quickly and the channel was wiped, and both parties agreed to not bring it up again. But the person who posted the underage content in general started mentioning us again, picking a fight, so we brought up our side again. Everyone who was against IRL underage shipping was pulled into timeout.

So we started debating the logistics of this situation. We went into the topic of censorship. In this server, you weren't allowed to talk about drugs/alcohol or say the word "retarded" even with disabilities allowing you to reclaim the slur, but they did not want to censor underage shipping?
one of the mods even said they were okay with their underage niece being sexualized.
It was brought up that we had a private chat room to talk about this situation, which we did because we did not want to bring drama to the server, and the other mods decided it wasn't allowed to be discussed. But a lot of us were still upset and needed a place to vent about it.
I had a friend at the time who I added and didn't agree, which is totally fine! But they sent the pictures of the vent chat to the mods. We created the chat because we felt like the situation we were in was unfair; certain people were getting favoritism over others. We didn't want anyone to see it or be hurt by it.

We were all upset. This person works with children, and it makes us uncomfortable, to be honest. This is why a lot of The Walking Dead fandom does not like us because of these things. What confuses me so much is we love arguing the fact that Beth is 18, but as soon as it comes to underage ships, we automatically welcome them? People in that server have been bullied for multi-shipping adult x adult, but as soon as it's children, it's okay…
I'm not going to say I was perfect in the situation, but I stand behind my statements. I did reach out to the person and apologize for how I approached them, but this type of behavior shouldn't be protected.
I don't believe I'm a shipping Nazi or I'm someone who believes in over-censorship in fandom spaces, but when you are looking at pictures of real-life children, I think the line needs to be drawn. This is not a drawing; this is not an animation; these are just actual, real-life children.
So the server decided to make a poll on whether we should allow underage shipping or not. At first, the moderation team did not want us to have the ability to vote; they wanted to keep us in timeout until the time was up, and we argued that could change the results of the poll because people would not see others opposing. It took a lot of arguing for us to be able to actually vote in it.
And then, when they wrote out the poll, they made us look like hypocrites. They did not want to say Rick x Carl, Sophia x Shane, Daryl x Judith or Negan x Carl, but they did add that we were okay with people shipping Beth at the farm and worded it without giving context that it was okay because the actor was an ADULT, and made it seem like we were not okay with safe-for-work Carl x Sophia.
And they said, once again, our side was not allowed to talk. But when others started talking in general about it, we tried to say our side and were pulled halfway through the poll into timeout. I wasn't active for this part, and we were all banned.

Stop trying to say you’re doing me a favor by not dropping all this stuff about me. I’m not the one making new Discord accounts and deleting Tumblr. just leave me alone, remove my content from your server i'm not looking for a fight or anything like that.
Y’all are doing the same thing we did with our chat. You’re just on the other side of it. Don’t act like y’all ain’t talking shit, because you are. We all were. Stop demonizing people for it. Sometimes we disagree. The only difference is we kept it in a private, closed group of people who knew what was going on. You’re talking to people who don’t know anything about what happened and can’t make an unbiased opinion.
