Now that you mention it, I can’t help but be a little surprised that the possibility of your spatial capabilities extending to selectively modifying your wardrobe is something you’re only just now entertaining. I mean, I hadn’t thought of it either, but that just means I feel a little silly for both of us. I’m also not entirely sure of the specifics behind how it works, other than “small thing gets big, and may or may not suddenly be in low orbit”, but if you do have the ability to simply whim attire into a more convenient shape, preferably without also relocating said attire to any of the known local Lagrange points, I’d be a fool not to take you up on the offer.

Of course, your current status might be a more pressing matter than my friendly abuse of your talents for tailoring. Provided my asking doesn’t constitute unnecessary prying, and it isn’t actually linked to your current stature (something that’s become more possible than I’d like to admit, given tales I’ve heard), is anything wrong? For a girl who can potentially materialize anywhere in the known universe, not being able to leave the house strikes me as an alarming predicament, and while I’m probably letting my imagination run ahead of me in terms of worry over why you’re so judiciously homestuck, it’s still something that could easily be construed as concerning.

I admit, I’ve entertained the thought of absconding to some unknown tropical locale, if only for respite from the torrential downpours that make up most of the late February-early May period in these parts. It would be nice to spend some time outdoors in a climate that isn’t akin to some sort of hackneyed action film climax; perhaps acknowledge the existence of beaches and tropical fruit, make any sort of effort to construct a legitimate complexion, or deign to swallow whatever pride I can still claw from my pale chest and take up the quais-family tradition of wearing unimaginably gratuitous sunglasses.

It shouldn’t be that hard to find a nice, uncharted, lawless kingdom of sunshine and heat waves to stake out a claim amongst hordes of nomadic barbarians and vicious, child-swallowing wildlife. California, maybe.

Whatever sunny shores you might be calling home nowadays, though, I can at least sympathise with your clothing-related plights. I’ve been meaning to actually work on re-establishing a functional wardrobe, seeing as some of my old garments are apparently uncooperative with the aftereffects of several years worth of habitual lethargy. Cycling through two or three sets of clothes would probably be prohibitively uneconomical if it weren’t for the waterfall, and attempting to knit replacements or modifications to my older effects has only lead to itchiness.

If we did arrange some sort of rendezvous, I’m afraid it’d most likely turn into some sort of impromptu shopping spree before we managed to accomplish any sort of casual beachgoing. I mean, I suppose two-pieces are an option when it comes to swimwear, but not all of us are graced with the humility to earn comfort through exposure, and I’m not sure if I want to ruin any more sets of old clothes haphazardly trying them on. Even if they do amount to glorified lingerie.
