DESTINY COMMUNITY,
Listen up. We’ve had some good times, and some bad ones.
We’ve defeated Atheon, in his Vault of Glass, Crota, on his Oversoul Throne, Skolas, beneath the Prison of Elders, and Oryx, on the Dreadnaught.
We’ve braved the Crucible, forged our legend beneath the Iron Banner, and proved our might in the Trials of Osiris.
We’ve collected great treasure, such as the legendary Gjallarhorn, the lethal Fatebringer, and…the long-despised, now-dead Shot Package Shotgun. Literally. Nobody likes a Shotgunner. Infinite-ammo’d Black Hammer. Uber-stable Praedyth’s Revenge. FINAL ROUND SNIPERS. The dreaded, yet loved Thorn. The loathed No Land Beyond. After that, many more.
But best of all, we’ve made friends with other Guardians. Be it bringing together a reliable team to take out the Darkness’ greatest threats, a group to conquer the Crucible, or to plain out screw around with, we have allied ourselves with others. Those who stayed through it, to the end. Those who make us laugh. The one person who lags in the middle of Trials and screws over your Flawless run.
But mostly, the Guardians we can call friends.
Now, onto darker subjects. The Destiny community as a whole has been insulted or ridiculed many times, by the fans of Halo, Call of Duty, and other big FPS titles of the now. We’ve had false rumors spread throughout the community. I, personally, find it hard to find people that like Destiny. I would say I play it, then I’m the laughingstock of my friends. We’re not regarded highly. We know.
That is why we must ignore those who insult us because of Destiny. You see millions playing LoL and WoW, which also require grinding. But why not Destiny? People in that category are used to grinding. They aren’t used to an FPS grinder, though, and there could be many more reasons. Bad servers. Can only use a certain few weapons easily in PVP or PVE. Going at the top of the leaderboard in Control, bottom guy gets two exotics.
It’s just a case of tough luck. No big deal.
But we are Guardians. We stand all as one force. Fighting the Darkness, testing each other’s resolve, forging our legend in fire. But what does it mean to be a Guardian?
It means to be a Light in the Dark. Hope, where there isn’t hope. Determination when all seems lost. To help a friend in need. To protect those who cannot do so themselves. To blaze your own trails, or help friends blaze theirs. Becoming an artist of strategy. Thinking of the what will happen, rather than the when. Expecting the unexpected (I remember when the Overmind Minotaur teleported out of its circle. Good time.).
Becoming legend.
It’s disheartening to think that the fact you play a specific game will end you up with X amount of friends. But we must stand tall, Guardians. We must be the Sunsingers in Trials. We must be when the Thorn Burn kills off that last point in the Crucible match. We must be the last Gjallarhorn to Skolas’ face.
We must be hope for our own City.
Now, come along. We’ve got a huge canvas to paint, and we’re only getting started.
FILE: Dreg A Dreg is the second lowest (next to Shanks) rank in the Fallen hierarchy. They have only two arms, due to a docking ritual where both their lower arms are cut off in a show of humiliation. They must then accomplish something great to allow their arms to come back. They can wield Shock Pistols and Shock Daggers, but high-rank Dregs wield Shrapnel Launchers. They usually attack in groups, and are usually a one-hit kill with most weapons known to Guardians. They are fueled by rage and a determination to get their arms back, and will stop at nothing to kill their enemies. But really, leave the Dregs alive. Give the poor guys a chance.
FILE: Vandal Vandals are just above Dregs in the Fallen hierarchy. They sport capes and moderate armor. They wield just about any weapon the Fallen dish out, which include Shock Rifles, Shrapnel Launchers, Wire Rifles, and Shock Blades. Some of them employ stealth tactics and cloaking devices to sneak up on and kill their enemies. They are also 1 of 2 Fallen enemies that will smack you if you get close. They can be seen leading 1-2 Dregs in a pack. They, too, like to taunt. They will usually raise their weapons in the air and screech.
FILE: Skolas, Kell of Kells, aka Traitor Kell or Wolf Kell Skolas is the House of Wolves' Kell. He, like Archons and Kells, is taller than a Captain and has lots of body armor. He currently resides in the Prison of Elders. He is he only Fallen that knows how to manipulate Vex tech, seeing that the Wolves no longer need Skiffs to deploy their troops, rather they are deployed the same way Vex are. Inside the Prison, he wields a Scorch Cannon, but outside, he wields a large Shrapnel Launcher. His melee, like all other large Fallen, creates a large area effect and can send anyone in the effect flying, therefore destroying any chances of a close-range ambush. Like a Wolf, Skolas' cowardice has been observed on the field, seeing that the Wolves (led by Skolas) did not help in the Battle of Twilight Gap. He also decides to flee the planet Venus instantly, rather than combat the Guardians who hunted him down. He is also the only Kell whose face can be seen. He can be spotted in the following locations: Traitor's Ketch (Venus) Winter's Lair (Venus) Prison of Elders, Fallen Wing (The Reef)
Me at miami supercon as the kell of kells himself
HOLY SHIT!
Heed my call, brothers of the Banner:
For better we die, than live in such a manner.
Remember the days when we would rise, and use fealty only as a cunning disguise.
The Devils, they rot as they fester in the deep.
The Kings, stay hidden, it’s cowardice they keep.
The Exiled, pick uselessly in the halls of Oryx’s son.
The Winter, wonders what would arise if we stood all as one.
And as we Wolves begin grow we howl as anger swells.
And all the Houses shall proclaim I am the Kell of Kells.
FILE: Captain Fallen Captains are the fifth-highest ranking members in a House, bearing the most armor of any standard Fallen. They sport capes, full body armor, headdresses, and heavier weapons. They wield Scorch Cannons, Shock Blades, Shock Rifles, and Shrapnel Launchers. They are often seen leading Dregs, Shanks and Vandals into battle. They also love to taunt. They can be seen dancing, raising their weapons, roaring, shaking two hands, even continually shooting a Guardian's corpse.
FILE: House of Wolves The Fallen House of Wolves appear all over the known System, except for Mars. Their Majors appear in varied locations all over the Solar System (again, not Mars.). Skolas, their Kell, is currently imprisoned in the Prison of Elders in the Reef, where he is overseen by the Warden, Variks. The Wolves have access to Vex technology, able to deploy out of thin air like the Vex. They also successfully broke the seal on the Vault of Glass. They hired another Fallen mercenary, Taniks, the Scarred, to plunder the Hive's resources and archives. They had a plan and slogan, said by Skolas himself: "All Houses shall burn. All will kneel before Wolf Banner." They had a very successful run, until the Wolves and their Kell were imprisoned by a specific Guardian. They are the only Fallen House with Scorch Cannons and teleporting Skiffs.
FILE: House of Winter The Fallen House of Winter is the only House on Venus, appearing in nearly every part of Venus other than the Citadel and very few others. They have access to lots of Golden Age treasures, left behind by the Ishtar Collective. They have many interactive Commanders--Draksis, their Kell (who seems a lot like Riksis, the Devil Archon), Aksor, their potential Archon AND the House of Kings' previous Archon, and many others. They have a very firm hold on Venus, showing up around every corner, and they have the gall to put their Ketch on the ground, instead of in orbit. They are seen fighting Vex and Guardians. They were the first House to fall to House Wolves, under Skolas' rule. They can be found all over Venus, except for the following: Endless Steps Waking Ruins The Citadel Vault of Glass
FILE: House of Kings The Fallen House of Kings is the second Fallen House on Earth. They are the only Fallen House without Walkers (there are Iron, Devil, Winter, and Wolf walkers, House Judgement only having one member). They sport yellow, blue and silver schemes, symbolizing gold, silver and sapphire, three precious metals. They are more interested in the ancient technology and complexes of Earth's Cosmodrome. The Kings are seen often fighting off Hive swarms, scavenging old Russian tech, or scouting the area. The Vandals of the Kings seem to use more Wire Rifles than the Devils (hence the Exotic fusion rifle 'queenbreaker's BOW.'), since the Kings have a rather classical armament, more Captains using Shock Blades than Shrapnel Launchers, and Dregs use Arc Daggers more often than ranged weapons. Kings have more aggresive behavior than Devils, since the Devils seem to like to play defensive (in the Devils Lair strike, they seem to throw a lot more defense at you than offense). They can be found in the following sections of the Cosmodrome: Refinery Rocketyard Skywatch Lunar, Terrestial Complexes
FILE: House of Devils (my favorite, rocking that symbol) The Fallen House of Devils is the first Fallen House on Earth ( note: Earth is the only planet with two Fallen Houses, excluding the Wolves ). They pick at the communications and transportation pieces of Earth, since, according to Variks of House Judgement, 'Devils can detect comm signals as well as we can. They...have our scent.' Having plundered the comms and transportation of Old Russia, the Devils set up, well, 'devilish' traps and can deploy many more Walkers and other vehicles, having experience in both fields. They are the only House in which you can interact with the Prime Servitor (Sepiks Prime) or main Ether supplicant of each House. You may also interact with the Archon, Riksis. They can be found in the following locations in the Cosmodrome: The Divide Forgotten Shore Mothyards The Steppes The Breach The Wall Dock 13 The Blast
FILE: House of Judgement
The Fallen House of Judgement is currently the only Fallen House in the Reef, due to the rapid eviction of the House of Wolves. It only has one member, Variks the Loyal. He is every role in his House: Kell, Archon, Baron, Captain, Vandal, and even Dreg. He cannot be a Servitor due to the fact that he can’t produce Ether. That is supplied by the Reef. House Judgement currently supplies Guardians with Weapons and Armor that is infused with Fallen tech.
Variks is interested in any Cores and Ciphers that Guardians bring him. He uses special Tokens to equip Guardians with special Ships, Cloaks, Marks, Bonds and Shaders, each bearing resemblance to three specific Fallen Houses.
Variks is only found in one location, the Vestian Outpost, but is present in the following locations:
Prison of Elders - Airlock Prison of Elders - Treasure Room Prison of Elders - Cabal Wing Prison of Elders - Fallen Wing Prison of Elders - Vex Wing Prison of Elders - Hive Wing
FILE: House Of Exile The Fallen House of Exile sports a teal banner and green colored armors and Walkers. They inhabit Earth's Moon. Their bases, like many other Fallen houses, consist of abandoned structures, fortified with their odd bulbous architecture. They, also like other Houses, string their Banners about the place, but we do not see it in many places in the main game. They scavenge the old lunar outposts of the Moon, hoping to find some type of salvage to bring back to their Servitors, Captains and Barons. They do have some competition with the Hive, who also inhabit the area, and most of the Moon. They can be found near the following: Archer's Line Anchor of Light The Hellmouth Occasionally in the Hall of Whispers
So this is it.
This is the blog for all things Fallen. Ask me anything about the glorious, pirate bastards, or reblog any posts here.
