Our question is, if you could envision an epilogue/ending for the series' on-screen adaptation of 'On the Way to the Wedding,' what would you want it to be? 🤔
I mean, Colin and Penelope were alone all the time and no one batted an eye - including the time when little Baron Featherington was conceived.
So it might depend on how it all looked- were they caught in a seemingly compromising position? Who caught them? Is this after Hermione and Richard were caught alone and got engaged?
Then there is the fact that this would even affect Lucy's engagement to Haselby, because we got Lord Davenport and Uncle Robert in the background who are just committed to making everyone miserable and under their control.
So most likely, this all get back to Richard Abernathy and Lord Davenport, and they try to shame/blackmail the Bridgertons. Should be easy, right? They are higher rank after all.
And then they find out too late that this was a bad move. People who are smart do not try to intimidate the Bridgertons. They would regret it.
So, Anthony, Kate, and Violet decide to go to the solicitors.
Gregory is encouraged to go on holiday to Scotland to visit Francesca and her family. Lucy also visits. They come back married.
Richard Abernathy disappears. Lord Davenport goes to Bath.

Anthony, Benedict, and Colin- they are all right in a row. Like ducks, I've always said, although I'm not so foolish to say so.
Lady Lucinda Abernathy has one goal: Get through the season, see that her very best friend Hermione is settled and happy, and not think about Miss Grace Bridgerton.

Miss Grace Bridgerton, the second to last daughter of the illustrious Bridgertons, is happily unmarried and determined to stay that way. Or at least find some arrangement that will allow her to find her own happiness.

✧ raking and jumping into piles of leaves to relive a childhood memory just once + grucy
Lucy was confused when she looked out of their bedroom window that morning. Seeing Gregory outside in the garden was not unusual but watching him rake the leaves that had fallen into a massive pile was.
She made her way to the garden, where Gregory had created a mound of red, brown and golden leaves. The rest of the garden was green, immaculate.
"Good morning," Lucy greeted, pulling the sleeves of her burgundy sweater down over her hands.
"Morning." Gregory smiled, "I made a leaf pile. Wanna jump in?"
Lucy shook her head. It wasn't exactly something they were allowed to do at boarding school and the thought of leaves stuck in her hair did not sound satisfying. But the way Gregory was grinning made her believe that she may rethink that.
"As soon as the leaves turn, Mum would get a huge pile started." Gregory told her, his cheeks red from the morning chill, "We'd help her, make it into a bit of a competition. Hy and I would team up to try to sabotage the others so we'd get the biggest pile. Anthony and Daph helped but would end up trying to sabotage each other."
"Well, you have put together a pretty good pile." Lucy complimented. She had no doubt that a picture of the leaf pile was going into his sibling's group chat.
Gregory looked at the pile and then back at Lucy. Then back at the pile.
"Nope." Lucy said immediately as she saw the mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Come on," Gregory pleaded, "It's not autumn until you've jumped in a leaf pile.
"That's not a rule." Lucy replied.
"It is," Gregory insisted, holding out his hand, "Don't knock it."
Lucy sighed, eyeing the small hill he had created. It couldn't hurt, right? She took Gregory's hand and he stood next to her, the couple facing the pile.
"One...two...three!"
Lucy squealed as they kept forward, hearing the loud crunch of leaves as their bodies hit the mound. It didn't hurt as she feared but it was fun. Gregory pulled her on top of his, holding her close as he rolled back and forth, the young couple laughing.
"Okay, that was fun." Lucy admitted, leaning up to kiss Gregory's reddening nose, "Now, let's get cleaned up."
"You know, sharing a shower after sharing a leaf pile is just good for the environment," Gregory said with a smirk and Lucy affectionately rolled her eyes.
