Now, imagine the siblings-in-laws having their own group behind their spouse's back to breathe away from their shenanigans and competitiveness, helping each other out to fix whatever mess they committed before any of their soulmate finds out. Kate&Sophie&Penelope&Simon&Philip&Michael&Lucy&Gareth, having each other's back without question against the stubborn nature of their Bridgerton spouse.

Omfg I just thought of another modern au to follow the previous Gregory and Benedict scenario

LUCY ask benedict to do a boudoir photo shoot for Gregory's birthday!!!!

It had been several years, but some memories still had a way of creeping up on Benedict when he least expected it.

When Lucy Abernathy walked into his studio, with that look of excitement in her eyes, he had no idea what was coming. She was engaged to Gregory now, his little brother, who had grown into someone he could almost consider a peer. Almost. But today, Lucy’s request was anything but what Benedict had been expecting.

“Benedict,” she said, her voice light and filled with a touch of mischief. “I was hoping you’d do me a favour, something very special for Gregory. I want to surprise him with a boudoir shoot. He’d never expect it from me, but I think he’d absolutely love it.”

Benedict froze, his thoughts immediately flashing back to that one awful day, years ago, when Gregory had found Sophie’s private photographs, the intimate ones that had been meant for no one else. It had taken Gregory months to look at Sophie without blushing, avoiding eye contact like it was a plague.

Benedict cleared his throat, trying to maintain a professional composure. “Lucy, I... I’m afraid I can’t do that.”

Her eyes widened, confusion crossing her face. “What? Why? You’re the best, Benedict. Surely you can…?”

“It’s not that I don’t think it’s a beautiful idea.” He paused, rubbing his temple as if searching for the right words. “It’s just... I can’t. I’m afraid that, given something that happened a long time ago”

Lucy blinked, clearly not connecting the dots. “What do you mean?”

Benedict sighed. “Lucy, several years ago, Gregory found a collection of private photographs I had taken of Sophie. He... he wasn’t meant to see them. I thought they were hidden away, but he found them. And, well...” He paused, seeing the dawning horror in her eyes as she started to understand. “It took him a full six months before he could even look Sophie in the eye again without blushing. He was completely mortified. And I was mortified for him.”

Lucy’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson. “Oh,” she breathed, her voice a little too quiet. “I didn’t realise...”

“You had no reason to realise, it’s okay, it was a few years ago…” Benedict said gently. “But that’s why I can’t. Seeing you in that sort of position, in that kind of clothing, knowing how close we are as a family... It is too personal. It would be too much, and I can’t imagine putting Gregory through that again knowing it was me that took the photos, I don’t even want to think about you and him... in that light, I've seen too much of my siblings in those situations over the years.” He paused, leaning forward slightly, as if trying to make her understand just how much this meant to him. “I truly wish I could do this for you, Lucy. But, I believe it would be too difficult for me, for all of us.”

Lucy, to her credit, didn’t seem offended, she seemed thoughtful. After a long moment, she gave a small nod. “I... I understand. It was a silly idea, I suppose.” She offered him a small, embarrassed smile. “Thank you for being honest with me, Benedict.”

Benedict smiled back, relieved she hadn’t taken offense. “Of course. But if you’re still keen on the idea, I would recommend Hugh. He’s married to Posy, Sophie’s sister, and he’s an exceptional photographer. He’s got the right touch for something more personal, if that’s what you’re after.”

Lucy nodded, her face relaxing into a more confident smile. “I’ll think about it. But thank you for letting me down gently, Benedict. I truly appreciate your honesty.”

“Anytime, Lucy. You’re family,” he said warmly, his voice soft but sincere. “And Gregory... well, he’ll be better off not having to face another uncomfortable situation. Trust me on that.”

Lucy laughed softly, looking up at him with a grateful smile. “I’ll leave the idea of the shoot behind, but thank you for helping me see it from a different angle.”

Benedict chuckled. “Anytime, Lucy. Anytime.”

As she left, Benedict couldn’t help but sigh in relief. It had been a strange, tense moment, but a necessary one. He just hoped that, from now on, their relationship would stay free of awkwardness. The last thing he needed was to create a new set of problems for Gregory to deal with.

Is this one or two events?

Instead of hosting two separate events that overlap, we are hosting one event with two parts. This event encompasses the duration of Chinese New Year (Jan 28th-Feb 12) and Black History Month (month of Feb). We are accepting fan creations for both parts of this event from January 28th-February 28th.

What is Black History Month?

Black History Month recognizes and celebrates the achievements and contributions of Black Americans throughout history, highlighting their significant impact on American culture and progress.

What’s the difference between Lunar New Year and Chinese New Year?

“Chinese New Year” specifically refers to how the holiday is celebrated in Lucy’s culture while “Lunar New Year” is a broader term that encompasses the holiday across different Asian cultures.
