I've been thinking about making this post for ages so I thought I'd finally give it to you all
this post is absolutely a disorganized mess but I think that's on theme
once you get her started talking about something, good luck getting her to stop, you will be there for the next hour and a half hearing about whatever she's interested in
plus she has a few interests that she considers "acceptable" to talk about with others that fit her persona, ie. European history, card games, ect. so if any of those things come up in conversation she often ends up accidentally interrupting other people to talk about them
I also think she's very awkward in group conversations especially. In a good few of her V3 bounus mode and DRS events, it seems like she's seen as this weirdo who will come up to you and talk to you about things she's interested in or try to get you to play card games with her. I think she's not very good at group conversations so she tries to interact with people one on one but she's still very awkward about it.
literally in the game, she just stops to fully describe what a zero-sum game is when literally no one asked and no one pays any attention or cares that is peak undiagnosed adhd experience
so much rejection sensitivity good lord, literally you cannot invite her to any kind of game night (I personally think her talent only applies if money or something of value is on the line as a bet) because she will take it way, way, to seriously and if she loses she gets really upset
she also definitely over analyzes every social interaction she has with anyone the moment she's alone and will convince herself that everyone hates her
she stims a lot, she literally has a sprite where she's playing with her hair, bit I think she also likes to play with the frills on her clothes
I know some people think it's just bad writing, but her entire murder plot and trial scream lack of follow through to me
also I think she daydreams a lot, literally if you lose her attention for even a minute she is gone
she absolutely hates that she has no object permanence because she's torn between wanting to remember that things she has exist, and wanting to put everything away so her dorm looks nicer (even though her room is usually a mess anyway, but it's organized chaos, it's a mess, but she can tell you exactly where things are)
she has literally never paid attention in class in her life, she's the kid sitting in the back staring out the window daydreaming the whole time
Putting it into the world that I also want someone to write class 78 picking up on Taeko's insecurities!!! I'm a sucker for them initially viewing her as a spoilt and condescending rich girl and realising that's a lie. I also think Mondo would probably notice. Sakura as well since in the relationship chart she says about hidden strength I think?
oh same oh my god. it would be so interesting especially if they initially see her as like a spoiled rich girl who can take teasing and maybe needs to be knocked down a peg and end up slowly picking up on the fact that she's not that, it makes for excellent angst as well not going to lie
Sakura would notice I think, yeah. Mondo I'm not entirely sure about? I think it would kind of depend on if he knew kids that where bullied when he was younger and could recognize the signs i think. Tbh I'm probably better at telling you who's not picking up on it but i will spare you from the list
on celesgiri fans not being horny I feel like they never let them be horny for eachothers bodies. like if they are allowed a bodypart to be enchanted by its eyes. let taeko love kyoko's cheeks she got booty. and taeko's thighs for kyoko!!

i think because celesgiri fans (especially those who really like Celeste this is a self callout here) get so invested in the lore and speculation around them as characters that it becomes not just like doing whatever you want because anime art style, or just sticking to canon, but going like no no this needs to fit with her charater and the things we know about her and then you get an entire essay and then you feel weird for now having an entire essay on this just so you can write your horny fic or draw your horny art. at least in my experience this could very well be a me thing lmao

Yeah they'd notice little things that suggest that Taeko has terrible self esteem. But to hear Taeko confirm it by earnestly saying that shes not sure if Kyoko likes her. The Kyoko she spends almost all her time with. The Kyoko who is practically devoted to her. Would be like oh its that bad.
I also don't think they would know how to deal with it especially because Toko's well Toko.
oh yeah no they would not know how to deal with it. funnily enough i actually think Touko would be one of the first to pick up on it because of her own self esteem issues, but she’s not going to say anything about it. Chihiro I think would also probably pick up on some of underlying the anxiety pretty early on and Hifumi I think would pick up on it pretty quicky as well. He's meet this person in anime club before, the only difference is that Celeste actually has the money to larp as her oc irl
I am also just obsessed with the little moments that make them realize just how bad it is. like i would kill for a fic that’s just the moments her classmates realized how insecure she is. like the little things that tipped people off. unfortunately I am not a writer
I'm a big fan of Kyoko being the one who's more visibly in love. Not that I think Taeko would not be. Just Kyoko is enthralled. I also think it's great for when Taeko is like opening up to their class and she's like sometimes I'm not even sure Kyoko likes me. Kyoko is meanwhile so visibly soft for Taeko. So their class are like oh girlfail your self esteem :(((
no i get you i love it too, Kyoko being incredibly in love with Taeko is just so good. i will admit to the fact that Kyoko being in love with Taeko and not just her persona when she feels like no one would like her as Taeko warms my cold dead heart
see ok i feel like even before she's opening up to the class like half of them already know her self esteem is terrible. just from the way she lets her persona slip sometimes and maybe even from things like her always being surprised when they ask to spend time with her like she Isn’t sure why they’d want to. although they definitely do not realize the extent of her self esteem issues and when they do find out it's definitely kind of shocking just how bad her self esteem is
one of my celesgiri headcanons is that taeko is the best at getting kyoko away from her work not because of love but because she just sits on kyoko's work like a cat. bonus is that kyoko gets so used to taeko being the one to rouse her from work that she is prone to looking very disappointed if the person isn't taeko. adding to kyoko absolutely being the one who's more obviously downbad for taeko.
oh i love that. big fan of the mental image of Taeko getting so annoyed she literally just sits down on Kyoko's desk to keep her from working. also I love the idea of Kyoko getting all exited when someone comes in to get her and then getting annoyed if it's not Taeko
Although now i am also just picturing Kyoko being incredibly downbad for Taeko but she has work and hoping that Taeko will come to get her and maybe sit directly on her desk because that’s kind of hot honestly especially if she's dressed casually because Kyoko wants Taeko, although her casual clothes probably showing more skin doesn’t hurt and now she's just thinking about Taeko being hot and not getting any of her work done. I love her being incredibly down bad for Taeko specifically. it's great. like she likes Celeste when she's dressed up too, but Taeko in her pajamas with messy hair and no makeup is just irresistible to her. i feel like we need more Taeko being hot tbh. let Kyoko lust in her heart we've all seen the gym uniform picture can you blame her
you're so right there so adhd coded. that is why i think it's funny when i see people have taeko worry about 'losing' herself to celeste. like a) she'd love that and b) just taeko is very aware of who she really is. and she can't stop being her. it's taeko eating gyoza or telling manga plots as if she lived them. it's taeko who self soothes by performimg celeste. its taeko who lose withs her shit. taeko is all the qualities she hates about herself but also arguably everything she loves. her love of gothic lolita, gambling, probably psychology and euro-history, and royal milk tea. it is taeko who's reasonably good at hiding her emotions. taeko tries hard to outrun herself but she's really bad at it. i don't think she can ever lose herself.
Oh yeah she'd absolutely love to get rid of Taeko, she's actively trying to loose her and become Celestia. Honestly sometimes i get a little sad when i think i’ve found Celeste angst and it’s her worrying about loosing herself to being Celestia and it's like noooo that's not how it works
if anything she'd be worried about "loosing" Celestia to Taeko in a way, like worrying that she would be unable to preform the Celestia persona because she can't suppress being Taeko. Like that one day something will break and won't even be able to pull herself together enough to put on her persona.
its summer time so now is the annual think about celeste in a heatwave. and it gets hot and humid in tokyo.

i feel like she also refuses to figure out a "summer version" for the Celestia outfit though. like she could wear short sleeves or like, one less layer but she refuses. out of insecurity probably let's be real

the irony that I get annoyed about people characterizing her in a way that contradicts canon and then proceeding to contradict canon when i draw her is not lost on me. it's too hard to resist doing it though, she's so cute
