Kickin off the trip in Athens, Greece in front of the Temple of Athena. She is the Goddess of wisdom, courage, strength, inspiration, justice and war. Timely attributes to pondering before heading to Lesvos to help Syrian refugee camps. The refugee crisis is a very real, very big problem. Hundreds of thousands of people are displaced every day. In this case I didn't just want to talk about what's happening in our world, I want to do something about it. I want to learn for myself. I want to act. We must step outside ourselves to work toward a good greater than our own. It may be a grand gesture, or simply remembering to recycle. Time and effort is the greatest gift we can give. When you can make a hundred reasons that you can't, its exactly the time to take a step back--and give. ✌🏼️❤️🌍 (at Acropolis - Ακρόπολη)
