Banner gave off a faint grin, nodding his head slightly at the boy as he clasped his hands together. “Ah…gamma.” he responded slightly sharply. “Gamma radiation.”
“Oh, I think my dad used ta talk about tha’. Comes outta nuclear blasts an’ stars explodin, righ’? ‘E said enough uv it’ll kill anyone. Well, almos’ anyone.” Thou art treading on dangerous grounds. “‘E said one guy survived an’ tha Gamma stuff made ‘im, I dunno, stronger. Tha’s why ‘e was tryin ta use it ta ‘elp my mum.”
“Something like that.” he stated to the first sentence, bobbing his head downward once more as he tried to think of what to say next. But as the boy went on, Banner’s eyes rose slowly to the boy talking, swallowing back saliva and nodding.
“Hm….” he sighed out his nose slightly, bobbing his head once more. “Sounds like your father…didn’t do much work in the field. That gamma power couldn’t help anyone.” his voice was a bit dead now, cold. His eyes dropped back to the ground, trying to think about what man could possibly think it was good idea to use that much gamma radiation to save woman’s life.
"'E was tryin' ta save 'er live, yeh pompous arse! Wha' would yeh 'ave done differen'? Yeh think yeh could 'ave done be'er than Dr. Richard Richardson?" Quickly, use that anger! Use me! Punch that smug bastard square in the jaw! Anslem's left fist clenched briefly, accompanied by the sharp clink of metal as his face contorted in rage. He relaxed quickly however and spent the next moments breathing heavily. Damn. "I'm. . . sorry abou' tha'. Issa rough subjec'.
