Grey had never seen this particular Draken around before. Seeing as they were still trying to raise an army of sorts to deal with the future chaos, they decided the best thing to do in this situation was to tap them on the shoulder to get their attentionâ
Their instincts kick in, Grey relaxing their torso muscles and letting out a sharp exhale before the fist drives fully into their gut. A foot slides back, transferring most of the force from the blow down their body.
And it still stings. Man, this guy packs a punch! Give them a sec to get some air back in their lungs. Huh. Their reaction is kinda strange.
âIâm good, Iâm good. Bleh. Just a bit outta breath.â Ow. âYou pack one heck of a punch, er, mister. Iâm guessing youâre a mister. If Iâm wrong, please tell me.â
Wait. Introductions. âHeh. If anything, that should teach me to not touch people to get their attention. Ordis, is it? Nice to meet you then. Agent Grey, at your service! Resident not of this world, and current terror of war-tech here. Are you a local, or are you also not of this place?â
Ordis isâŚimpressed, he thinks, with how well they take the hit. Clearly, they know a bit about fighting, which intrigues himâŚonly because heâs spent the majority of his time dealing with a faction of space ninjas. Thatâs all.
He nods a bit at the assumption, and manages a polite, if stiff smile. How is he supposed to greet people? Heâs not really used to interacting with new faces, after all this time, so heâs just going to stand there awkwardly.
âYouâre correct. I am Ordis, pleasure to make your acquaintance.â The ridges that serve as his eyebrows shoot up at what Grey says next. âHm? War tech? Does that mean youâre a supplier ofâweapons?â
A hand quickly flies to his face, and he looks away. Oh dear. His accent slipped. Heâd hoped that at the very least being flesh and blood would mean heâd stop blurting out things like that, itâs unseemly. Ordis chuckles nervously and decides to pretend it hadnât happened.
âErâŚYou say youâre not of this world? So Ordis isnât the only one? I woke up in this filthy hole--place like this a few days ago, and I am quite disorientated. It doesnât help that Ordis is not used to, wellâŚhaving a body.â
...Well! Thatâs certainly something interesting about this Ordis. Might take a bit of getting used to. âEhh, not a supplier, more like I forced my way into the science places here and made them stop using spears, swords, and shields, and create, well, magic-powered guns.â They have one on them, so.....
Grey pulls out something that looks.... kinda like a magnum. Only slightly. A Magnum if it didnât have to worry about gas expulsion. Their hand holds it by the barrel, the safety on because common sense.
âThey didnât have this a few days ago. I explained the mechanics, the brains understood it, and hey, now they have guns that run on the userâs energy and that fire molten metal.â Back in the bag it goes.
âAs for being from other worlds, yeah, youâre not the only one. Thereâs.... maybe more than a thousand of us, from many different worlds. Normally this place looks like a populated city of sorts, not a set of kingdomâs out of a childâs bed-time story. Normally Iâm not a giant lizard-thing! Just your regular old Ivory-enhanced human. As for not having a body-- would I be right in guessing that youâre some form of AI?â
Those things were only a theory back home, but in a place where thereâs beings from all times? Having an AI be just dumped here was very possible.
