“Violet! Haven’t talked to you in a while, sorry about that. Work happened, and then I kinda fell asleep for about three weeks. I think that was my body finally making me rest since I’ve been awake 24/7 for a while thanks to nightmares.”
And it seems like someone has been up for 24/7 again.
“On that note, how have you been recently? I’ve been meaning to finally do that evaluation on your physical skills for a while now, so would you be up for a run?”

SEEMED A TRICKY TASK -- wandering into other territories. she grew up in kingdom politics -- raised by the captain of the guard -- so she knew how these things could be. still, she was escorting someone who needed a bodyguard -- sending her owl to scout ahead of them to make sure the coast was clear, his eyes able to see much better than hers in the dark -- dropping her charge off in safety before moving to make her way out of the area. not without a whistle to signal her pet back && he swoops down && toward her with little caution to the person nearby who nearly blended in enough to almost startle cassandra, lighting up the veinlike patterns across her skin in neon blue.
❝ hey! watch out. ❞

“Hey, Violet? I have... a bit of a strange question.”
“What’s going to school really like? I’ve... only ever watched it happen, not participated myself.”
❛ is it too late to wrap myself up like a baby and drop myself off on a billionaire’s doorstep? ❜
The cat snorts at that idea... “Psh, maybe not? You could probably pull it off easy, you’re still young!”
“Tell me how that goes cause I may just as well try it too, cause that sounds wack.”

Steven had been looking forward to this all week. It had snowed, meaning much of the structures in the park were covered with enough fluff to act as cushion –perfect for training.
Steven stashed his backpack under a bench and proceeded to warm up with stretches. Punches to the air and cool jump kicks accompanied by the proper sound effects.
“Hi-yah! Woosh!” Steven jumped up before floating gently back down. He was going to be all fired up by the time Violet got here.
A flash from his backpack meant his pokemon had escaped her ball. The skitty ran around Steven in a wide circle before bounding over to the person who was approaching.

THE DAMPENING OF HER POWERS had lifted a weight off of Jean’s shoulders, dampening as well her fear that her inability to properly control them would lead to someone getting hurt. Or worse. After all, it had been easy, so easy, to unleash them and kill a god-mutant.
But she’d been born with her powers; had used them all her life. And quite frankly, she missed the convenience of them --- especially her telekinesis. Though quite tall for a girl her age, there was still no way she would manage to reach the books on the top shelf. She suppressed a sigh and dragged over a rather unsteady looking step-ladder.
She had underestimated her grip on some of the heavier tomes. It was an automatic gesture, an extension of her hand towards the falling books, but they didn’t stop under her control and instead continued their descent heavily and loudly towards the library floor. Jean didn’t bother hiding her grimace. The last thing she wanted was to attract any attention to herself.
