Fredwave - Kno Betta - Directed by Marco Grey

The aim of this video was to critique the concept of hyper-masculinity and pride that exists amongst inner city (predominately black) youth in London. Growing up with excessive amounts of fear and pride is dangerous and is ultimately what leads to Fredwave’s demise in the video. The song ‘Kno Betta’ which was produced and written by Fredwave is a monologue of thought from the perspective of a young person who accepts their fate because they know no better.

I’m honestly so happy to be apart of this project, “Billy’s Home” by 808INK is truly a breath of fresh air. I shot the cover for the album and have various images in the zine. 

I suggest you listen, read and then buy this project.

The ‘Wot Do You Call It’ project has been featured on Channel 4′s “Four to the floor”. This is a great achievement for a project which we only started a year ago.

For those who don't know Jammz is a grime mc/producer who is easily one of the most consistent attendees of radio sets. His passion to develop his craft at any cost is truly inspiring. I look forward to seeing what he does in 2015.

I have been documenting the grime scene for a while now and it has been an amazing experience so far. This photograph is a moment which makes all the stress worth it. (stress =  film developing cost and night buses) Thanks Quann and everybody who has helped me so far.
