Ode to Don Lemon

Oh, you are a sweet man but your name is just..  so sour.  

I swear I saw you in a car commercial the other day and whenever I think of your name all I see are yellow flowers.  Like a pair of small underwear or the fleeting wind: you seem to be everywhere all at once - smiling and jabbing with that pithy wit that lands somewhere between Piers Morgan and Brooke Baldwin.

Sweet Lemon, how you disarm your audience and how you charm your guests. Light, fluffy and friendly without a hint of sarcasm whilst lacing every conversation with a clean, zesty yellow finish.

Yes, the allure of the Lemon does not go unnoticed.

Mr. Donald T. Lemon; the Thesaurus lists your name as a 'letdown' or a 'disappointment' but you took that negative and turned it into a positive. You took us places with Transparent and then changed the game by winning everything from Emmy's to Ebony.  You are a wonderful fruit and continue to be both an icon in the community and an inspiration in these dark and fruitless times. I will continue to enjoy your sharp-as-steel journalism and lofty presence as we continue forward into this dark night, and all the troubling nights ahead.
