Can I ask what being a codex writer actually entails? Are these entries shorter fics or are they “non-fiction” pieces like the in-game codex entries? And what are the limitations on word count? I want to make sure I understand the expectations before committing.

Hello! When it comes to what samples to send in for a page artist application, would you prefer someone to send you work that might fit the different moods of the Grey Warden tenets, or to focus on one of them?

When it comes to artist applications, we'd prefer you send us what you consider your best work. If it fits the themes, that's great, but it's not a requirement!

How long after the submission period ends will we know who was selected for the zine?

Also, are there any specific qualities that you are looking for in the writing submissions that will make or break an application?

Hi!

After applications close, we will take two weeks to go through all of them, so the results of it should come out after that period, but if we need more time, we will announce it.

In terms of writing, other than using AI, stealing work, or otherwise not following our guidelines, there isn't much that would "make or break" an application for us. In terms of content or quality, it's difficult to answer that directly as our Jury process for applicants is a numbering based and averaging system between every mod, and every mod as their own personal feelings and criteria for it. For example a writing style that is heavily prose based, could not resonate with Mod A, and they'd rank lower, but Mod B loves prose and would rank higher. There is nothing wrong with the style regardless, it's just how our process works to best create fairness for both the team and our applicants.

I applied to be a part of the zine and saw the link to the discord in the application. I went back to the app to try and access the discord but I can no longer access the app. Do you mind reposting the link to the discord?
