Bonus doodle piece, noticed the auto-gen tags DA was generating when I was submitting the two previous doodles. Also for some reason Undertale was also in the auto-gen tags , but this was too funny a mental image to pass up.

Some fun doodling. the VS crew encounter a lollipop. Irving/Soultaker can't stand over-sweet things and has been a character trait he always ends up with when put in games as a custom character , while Alex loves them. ( I don't even assign it, it just turns up.)

Autumn tidings and grumbles

...so yeah I spent the year fixing things constantly - in particular the internet was very much broken and spotty for 5 months!. Otherwise minding after pa and making sure there wasn't any fights with the family get together again. Aside from the long run of sunny weather, this was not great :( I never, ever catch a break T.T Sadly this threw alot of my plans out the window,so I'm very behind with code study after all that and the dedicated Von Slayer blog had to be put on hold till I got things stabilised around the house . So that'll all be on cards for next year . But for now, here's some doodles! I call these "The Irv-inks"

Shinanigans!

It’s been a rough start to the year. Multiple things broke that had to be replaced ( PC Monitor gave up ghost after 13 years , usb microphone also died, and the washing machine is on the brink...) as well as making plans for replacing things ( Dad’s 10 year old PC needs to be replaced by the end of the year because it can’t go to Windows 11, so that needs a new build drawn up. )

All that and the ongoing family in-fighting >.<

However, got to catch up with some code study and really digging into Godot. So it’s not all bad. Here's a little prototype that I’m working on - putting some mock-ups from a while back to good use!

Was wrestling with trying to make a good camera system, then found Billz devs video about an area camera - perfect! Also expanded upon it by making camera offset areas as well. Going to sort out a state machine for controlling player movement next. Other than that just getting things back in order. Dad's off to hospital next week so I'll need to mind over him. Trying to get some things like art comissions back on the go, setting up Streaming and sorting out a dedicated blog for the Von Slayer comic.

2024 Wrap up

Haven’t been about in a while, been busy with fixing things around home and dealing with ongoing family drama >.< My Study plans went flying out the window thanks to all that .

However latter part of the year hasn’t all been grief. I got a Steam deck for my birthday which has been very handy as an on the go gaming device as well as a Linux Laptop!

Sorting out some last few Christmas gifts, that I need to sneak away and wrap up. Got my Pa a handy something which should help in the kitchen and dropping a surprise something on my bro, but not as big as the GPU I got him back in 2023.

Hoping to get the dedicated Von Slayer blog set up here on Tumblr during next year, hopefully things can stabilize at home so I’m not being the repairman and complaints desk every other week .
