Haley had been outside, enjoying the weather and drawing, headphones in her ear and eyes glued to her sketchbook. She had barely noticed Griffin even coming over, that was until he spoke. Jumping at his voice, she paused her music and took the headphones out of her ears, rolling her eyes fondly at the boy, but smiling. Shrugging, she turned her sketchbook towards him, showing him a drawing she had done of some kids playing across the street at the park, trying to explain to him that she was enjoying the weather that they were having. She kept her hands on either side of the page, trying to make sure he wouldn’t flip through to look at her other drawings, knowing many where of him and that there were pages scattered through out that would tell the boy how she felt about him.

“Always with the sass,” he said shaking his head at her when she rolled her eyes at him. He looked at the sketchbook she presented him with over quickly before looking back up to her, “Ever have someone be mad you drew them? I imagine a crazy mom getting ticked cus you’re ‘stalking’ her kids,” he said with a chuckle. He’d left his laptop at home today having finished editing his video early this week, but he’d already had a great idea of what they could do. Griffin talked a lot but half of his curious dialogue tended to be questions. He was good at avoiding them when he spoke specifically about something like rating a new game in a video of his but to hold a conversation sometimes became difficult when he was the only one talking and he could only ask yes or no questions. Especially because the more time he spent with the girl the more he was interested in knowing more about her. So he’d started to see it was good to have something to do when they were together, “I say we start a game. I look through your sketchbook and have to make a story about whatever pops up and you have to rate it. Gotta practice those recounter abilities,” he joked, even though he really was one of those youtubers that every once in a while would come out with a ‘you will not fuckin’ believe what happened to me today’ videos, and waited for her approval.

Griffin saw the straw colored hair of the girl he’d spent quite a lot of time with recently. His expression turned into a sort of bittersweet one when he did. Zig had explained her predicament only a little while ago and he felt for her. I mean it’s not like it was anything he wouldn’t have imagined himself. It’s not like he thought that she was off talking to everyone else but him and since she didn’t do the whole ASL thing he imagined it was more an emotional thing than anything else. It was pretty cool to hear she did speak to a select few, a little less cool to not be a part of those select few. Ever since Zig had told him he’d been wondering twenty thousand questions. He wondered how her voice sounded, if it’d be any different since it rested so much. Or if it didn’t really, if when she got home or was with Zig she spoke a mile a minuet as he so often did. It was sort of important though wasn’t it the fact that she’d asked Zig to explain though. It’s not like he was leaving any time soon, and it’s not like he’d imagined she thought she needed Zig to explain something like that to him. Honestly he adored that she wasn’t the usual. She was an adventure, a quite one but still one at that. “Lovely day out, eh, my lady?” he asked, “How you doing?” @haley-paul

Griffin: I actually asked her what to do about this but she said she couldn't help cus she didn't know your lady but I was like NOOO cus you know the type of pointers I could have gotten if she had said what she would have wanted
