7.21.16. I’m being forced to sell some of my precious book collection (hiss) (this photo represents about half). I made a tasty caprese pizza. Boaz made a delicious curry chicken dinner. Decent Thursday for sure.
7.20.16. Piper got a haircut, I look all femme (wtf, how? this hair is something else, I’m telling you), and Bo looks adorable (look at that lil arm!).
7.19.16. Our eyes are burning from the worst glare everrrr, hence why we look all teary. Enjoying some steak and eggs and sunshine at mom’s house!
7.18.16. “Let’s hold these blueberries for our picture of the day.” “Ok cool.”
7.17.16. RAWR!
7.16.16. Redhot in Tacoma = some tasty summer goodness. We’re in pursuit of coasters for a project. Shoot me a message if you know any tasty summer brew stops in the Puget Sound area. :)
7.15.16. Lauren Jackson jersey retirement game was literally my childhood realized. You have to know, I’ve wanted to be two things in my life: a teacher, and a professional basketball player. The LJ jersey I’m wearing is a kids XL, circa 2002. The game itself was phenomenal (the Storm topped the Mystics by about 30 points) and it was so emotional and special to be there with my mom. We literally cried when Lauren Jackson took the floor. My mom used to be a basketball coach and I have so many awesome memories of going to games with her when I was a kid. I’m raising a glass to all the powerful women role models in my life and to the Seattle Storm!
7.14.16. Cheeseburgers n’ musty walks with pups and venonats.
7.13.16. Went out with some friends tonight on a Pokemon scavenge, cake, and Pride flick date and I had the best friend! My buddy and I walked several miles in Tacoma playing Pokemon before meeting some other friends at Corina Bakery and then seeing the First Girl I Loved at the Grand. The film was devastating, breathtaking, and beautiful. I hope every queer woman sees this film. We followed up all of the feels with more cake (as you can see I brought some back for Bo; he loves cake), wine, But I’m A Cheerleader, and then Poke-catching until early in the morning. A top notch night it was.
7.12.16. When your dog tries to snatch your bacon wrapped hot dog right off of your plate.
7.11.16. Righteous nerds getting after some pokes at dusk. We’re gonna give all those lil pidgeys homes!
7.10.16. So, we forgot to take our married picture of the day but… ta-dah!!!!! I got the beginnings of my new half sleeve finished and am feeling quite groovy. Color to come soon!
7.9.16. Ok, today was awesome. First, volunteering to sell t-shirts with the Rainbow Center at Tacoma Pride was a blast. It was especially fun to see a bunch of Project 13 kids out with their families and to watch Boaz and my mom walking around and having fun. They also brought me pizza and a cookie. And I got a free doughnut. Then, we went to the mall and I got some Jaws sperrys that I’ve had my eye on for a month or so as an early birthday gift - and they were on sale! Third, when we were driving home, we found out that it happens to be 7 Seas Brewery’s seventh birthday today, so we stopped in for their golden anniversary ale and enjoyed some food truck food and a limited edition seven-hop golden ale. Quite a party! We came home and played with Piper for a bit, then when on a Pokemon Go date through Uptown. Finally, we drove to Target and picked up Burlesque, wine, and chocolate. We are now at home, enjoying our treats (Bo made me a “charcuterie tray;” it’s candy), playing with Piper, and reveling in the day. After all the I-1515 nonsense and seeing some of the darker bits of this community, today was seriously a blessing. Thank you for those who prayed/thought of me after my post on fb about some hard feelings earlier this week. After quite a week, this has seriously been the best day ever!!!
7.8.16. Pokemon GO is a go.
7.7.16. Was feeling really good yesterday as we worked hard to prepare all of the food for my sisters’ going away party, and then totally crashed today. Here we are resting in the furniture section of Target as we slowly make our way back to the ice cream. This was definitely worth the trek though- totally delicious!
7.6.16. My beautiful sisters are leaving for Romania tomorrow! It’s crazy how much older we all look in this photo. To celebrate their last night, Bo and I prepared a feast of crispy fried chicken and onions, quick pickles, three-potato salad, Bloody Mary deviled eggs, spiked lemon sweet tea, and a pair of strawberry rhubarb pies.
