By the way if you call the cops on a homeless person for panhandling or sleeping you’re evil tbh. Like there is no reasonable justification for doing that ever and there’s no justification for any cop answering such a call tbh. I hope everyone who’s participated in that can never peacefully sleep until they make things right

Not only is this pointless, it actually could have long term effects that keep them on the streets. You are just increasing the chances of them getting a ticket, which they CANNOT PAY, which can lead to warrants, arrests, and possibly a criminal record, which can prevent them from getting jobs, which perpetuates the cycle of homelessness. I know because I work with homeless youth and they get ticketed ALL THE TIME just for standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don’t do it.
