In our last gardening session yesterday, we picked tomatoes, chard, radishes, salad and herbs and said goodbye to the beds until next year!
Big thanks to Annika from Nika’s Kitchen for coming in to Inspire on Tuesday and showing us how to make delicious wraps, homemade salsa and homemade hummus! We used tomatoes that we grew as well!
As it was raining on Tuesday, we joined Gail’s painting group at Inspire where they were painting in the style of the 16th century Spanish artist called Cotn who would hang frames and upside down plants from the ceiling to paint from.
Thank you to Bee Urban for hosting us on the 17th for a pizza party! We met the bees, foraged in their garden and ate loads of yummy pizza made by Barnaby!
With only 5 weeks left of the project we are taking good care of our Ayelsbury and Burgess Park beds!
Was great to see lots of friends and family at our end of project exhibition which got a lot of complements for the quality and variety of work. Well done group. We will all miss our Tuesday afternoons together. Looking forward to future projects at Aip.
Congrats to our friends Art in the Park for their fabulous exhibition!
Mint doing great. Radishes are starting to pop up. Tomatoes are still not ripened we think due to their shady position on the Aylesbury Estate.
Lovely session and welcomed some new participants!
Today we returned to our beds after a two week break and had lots of weeding and watering to do!
In our session last week we had a raw food cooking workshop where we learned to make rice wraps and peanut sauce and did some juicing!
Today Jason Irving took us on a fascinating foraging walk around Burgess Park!
We had some new participants in this weeks session! Welcome to Binar, Ian Jack and Rajah! We planted some pumpkins and chilli in Burgess Park and picked some berries from our ayelsbury estate bed.
Today we took Gill’s art group from Inspire to the Burgess Park community garden and did some iPad drawing!
Our plants are doing really well in this sunny and rainy weather
This weeks work seems to feature pinks and lime green. Next week we are looking at butterflies.
Art in the Park served rhubarb and cinnamon tarts for their open studios this weekend made from rhubarb grown by us in Burgess Park.
