I wanted to share with you all the next Clara cosplay item I’m going to try to make available in my shop, Oswin’s belt buckle! I’ve 3d modeled it myself and looking into getting it printed. You can take a look at it over on Shapeways. It is non-functional (it doesn’t actually buckle) because I wanted to create something that looked as accurate as possible with the lowest possible price. It is for sale on Shapeways (which is a 3d printing company if you didn’t know) but it is pretty expensive at the moment (shapeways sets the price according to the size and density) and I wouldn’t recommend buying it off there just yet as I still might make some changes and I can’t guarantee how it will end up coming out. But on the off chance that you do decide to drop the 60-80 bucks on it, please send me lots and lots of pictures! So….. what I want to do, is get it 3d printed myself, then make a mold of it and cast plastic resin versions. I’m hoping to bring the price down to the 30-40 dollar range (possibly lower) but I need to do a bit more research. I just wanted to see if that is something people would be interested in purchasing sometime in the future!
Let me know if you would be interested, since the start-up costs of producing this are a bit high, so I need to gauge interest.
