kala and i keep calling this our cocoon phase and eventually one day we’ll emerge as beautiful moths living our best lives at jb shows again. i hate that this is what’s going on right now, but i also think it’s inevitable with her. and we might as well all use the time to get a little distance from our parasocial relationship (a constant work in progress for me) and maybe spend time on some fulfilling activities that have nothing to do with stanning musicians. it’s been nice checking in with you guys and no matter what else is happening, we always have the incredible music 💜
well everything about this tour obviously did not go the way anyone wanted it to. so the videos are just a reminder of that. i’m sure i’ll watch them eventually, but it’s not like last tour where she talked a ton, so i’m sure most of the good bits have been posted on tiktok by now anyway.

Hello, it is I, your longtime multiple fandom friend reacting to your ask response about crashing out of fandoms with the implication that you somehow fail at it.
I guess I just don’t think fannishness about specific things have to last forever. Hyperfixations fade, something shiny comes along, it’s FINE.
Music is a little different because it tends to keep going longer than a tv series run. But if we’re totally honest I have zero interest in post-bandom Fall Out Boy though I still love the old stuff.
So, like, I don’t think it’s a problem to love something, keep a souvenir, and move on occasionally, even if you never do look back.
