Arctic Monkeys - ‘Do I wanna know’
real talk my mom never invaded my privacy, always knocked and waited for my “come in” instead of barging into my room, never tried to read my texts or journals or notes, and I always came to her with sensitive subjects; to the point of telling her I lost my virginity the /day/ I lost my virginity
what I’m saying is: respect your kids’ privacy and they will come to you with shit you’re worried about them doing
Also, this one is a little more controversial but the more my mom let me do the less reckless things I did. When I realized she trusted me I not only trusted her enough to tell her what I had done, but felt like I should respect her enough not to do it in the first place. A lot of parents think it's the other way around. That you earn respect from discipline and harsh punishment which just makes the kid want to rebel harder and get a taste of what they can't have. I don't know. I feel like parents who are at a loss for what to do with there kids should at least give this a shot.

u know what makes me lowkey sad? when someone says ‘i know it seems silly’ before talking about something they clearly care very deeply about bc u know that means someone gave them shit for caring that much about that thing before which is Fucked Up.
or when they’re like “i know i talk too much, just tell me to shut up when u get tired” n they say it as a joke but u can see that they’re uncomfortable, n i get so sad n i wanna fight whoever made them feel like they’re not worth of being heard.
i never realised that The Babadook was accidentally put in the LGBT+ movies section of Netflix i thought we all just collectively decided the babadook was gay for no reason at all
13 reasons why, but instead of her killing her self, she kills the people she mentions in the tapes and leaves the tapes for the police to find.
