next year will be the 10th anniversary of batb 2017 and i think we should all do something unhinged about it. maybe a fic fest? or a fic exchange? a week of fics?

AHHHHHHHH a 10th anniversary celebration is a wonderful idea!!!

I love the idea of doing some kind of fic fest or week of fics :D How about doing a week (or less, depending on what people are down for) of fics/gifsets/fanart leading up to the anniversary, and then maybe have an extra special celebration of fics/etc. on the day of the anniversary? People could also repost or revisit their favorite fics/etc. that they've made about batb 2017 since it was released as a way to walk down batb 2017 memory lane!

okay but in the LWW movie when the fox is brought to The White Witch and he says “forgive me, your majesty” and she says “don’t waste my time with flattery” and then he says “not to seem rude, but I wasn’t actually talking to you” and looks at Edmund? literal chills every time a 10/10 artistic decision

I love when this post shows up in my notifications again; as far as a book to movie adaptation goes, this movie is one of the best (we don’t talk about the subsequent ones) in my opinion, because they cut very little, and the changes they make are still true to the heart of the source material, and this moment is no exception; the fox’s faith in Aslan is so strong that he’s able to look at Edmund, this fearful and beaten down boy who is clearly in the wrong, has clearly been manipulated by the enemy responsible for so much suffering, and is still able to say to Jadis, in effect, “you, for all your intimidation and bluster, are a usurper; this is my king, and I will greet him as such”
