Moving Forward || Lily and Severus
Severus smiled at her, âwell I think you will look lovely in whatever you choice to wear, a dress would be nice to see though.â He winked at her, he was rather excited to be going until he had a thought, just what other Gryffindors were going to be there. Severus didnât know just how many Gryffindors knew about well them, slowly he started to askâ Lily love, erm, well uhm, what other, you know, Gryffindors will be there? and well I donât know who else well knows?â He knew he probably sounded like a poof but he didnât care. He wanted to know.Â
Lily nodded in understanding, âWell I- I honestly donât know but Iâll ask around, okay?â She wanted to reassure him that everything would be okay, and reassure herself. â=But itâs going to be fine, Sev. Really. No oneâs going to get rowdy at one of Slughornâs parties. I mean, you would hope so.â She saw the look of alarm on Severusâ face at her last comment and interjected once more, âNo, it will be fine. Thatâs what the point of all of this is, right? To not care what everyone else thinks.â As Lily looked across the water, she noticed the sun was beginning to set, tapping Severus, she turned towards the sunset. âSev, look.â She motioned for him to look as well.
Severus smiled and let out the breath he had been hold, Lily always made it sound so perfect, and that everything would be fine. He looked out across the lake, it was beautiful, but before he said anything he looked down at Lily, who was sitting close to him, he kissed her gently on the cheek and without taking his eyes of her breathed, âYes the view is simply gorgeous, something I could look at all the time.â
Lily rolled her eyes, she had never expected Severus to be such a romantic. "You haven't seen anything yet." She wiggled her eyebrows goofily. "Come on, the sun is down. Let's pack up and I can get ready for the party." Her boyfriend helped her up and she started packing up the picnic supplies. Once it was all put away, she held out her hand. "Off we go, then."
